The 2023 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup was the ninth running of the Asia Talent Cup, a motorcycle racing series organized by Dorna and sponsored by Idemitsu which is intended for young riders throughout Asia and Oceania. Asia Talent Cup
The Asia Talent Cup is a motorcycle racing, motorcycle road racing competition intended for young riders in Asia and Oceania. Organized by Dorna Sports, the promoter of the international Grand Prix motorcycle racing and Superbike World Championship series, the ATC had its inaugural season in 2014 after being founded the year prior. The championship has run under the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup moniker with sponsorship from Idemitsu Kosan, Idemitsu since the 2017 season, having previously been contracted with Shell plc, Shell Advance between 2014 and 2016. Alberto Puig has served as Director of the Asia Talent Cup since its inception in 2014. Ai Ogura and Somkiat Chantra are due to become the first Asia Talent Cup graduates to debut in the top-flight MotoGP World Championship when the season begins in March 2025. The Honda NSF250R is a four-stroke race motorcycle from HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) developed in 2011 to replace the Honda RS125R, a two-stroke. Honda's NSF250R joined the newly created Moto3 World Championship in 2012. An updated model, the NSF250RW was introduced in 2014, and won the constructors' title for the first time in 2015. The Sepang District is a district located in the southern part of the state of Selangor in Malaysia. Sepang District covers an area of around 600 square kilometers, and had an estimated population of 338,600 in 2023. Mobility Resort Motegi (モビリティリゾートもてぎ) is a motorsport venue located in Motegi, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Originally Twin Ring Motegi (ツインリンクもてぎ), the venue's name came from the facility having two race tracks: a oval track and a road course. It was built in 1997 by Honda Motor Co., Ltd., as part of the company's effort to bring the Championship Auto Racing Teams series to Japan, helping to increase their knowledge of American open-wheel racing. The oval was last raced on in 2010 by the Indycar Series. On 1 March 2022, the name of the track was changed to Mobility Resort Motegi, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the facility.
