2023 AsiaBasket Las Piñas Championship
The 2023 AsiaBasket Las Piñas Championship was the fifth tournament under AsiaBasket, the second under the AsiaBasket name, and the second of three tournaments held in 2023. The tournament began from July 21 to 30, 2023 at the Villar Coliseum in Las Piñas with 10 teams from both collegiate and professional clubs. It is also the first tournament since Summer 2022 to be held in the Philippines as well as the first since Subic 2021 to feature an all-Filipino lineup. The league originally intended to use the original ''FilBasket'' moniker under these circumstances, but ultimately, the ''AsiaBasket'' name was still used. The Ateneo Blue Eagles won the championship after defeating CSB Blazers at score 60–57 in the final tournament. Perpetual Altas Basketball
The Perpetual Altas basketball program represents University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) in men's basketball as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). The Perpetual Altas have never won the NCAA championship ever since joining in 1984. The Letran Knights and Lady Knights are the collegiate varsity teams representing Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Perpetual Altas
The Perpetual Altas and Lady Altas, or the UPHSD Altas and Lady Altas, are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) teams of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA. They are also popularly known as the Perps. Since joining the NCAA in 1984, the university's senior varsity basketball team only made the NCAA Finals twice. In spite of the poor financial support, their biggest run was in the late 1980s, led by the "big three" Bong Hawkins, Eric Quiday, and Ronald Sy, against the SSCR Stags' "big three", Paul Alvarez, Eugene Quilban, and Nap Hatton. They are the only NCAA basketball team that joined in the 20th century that's still in the NCAA to have never won a men's basketball championship. The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Blazers and Lady Blazers are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), NCAA senior varsity teams of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde. The Blazers were formerly a member of the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) before being admitted to the NCAA in 1998. The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the collegiate varsity teams of the Ateneo de Manila University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate league in the Philippines. Ernesto "Egay" Billiones (born November 3, 1975) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He has played in the Philippine Basketball Association, ASEAN Basketball League, and Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
