The 2023 Ashes series, branded as the Liverpool Victoria, LV= Insurance Men's Ashes Series for sponsorship reasons, was a series of Test cricket matches played between England cricket team, England and Australia national cricket team, Australia for the Ashes in June and July 2023. The five-match series was a part of the 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship, the venues being Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Edgbaston, Lord's, Headingley Cricket Ground, Headingley, Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Old Trafford and The Oval. The final of the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship, a Test cricket, Test cricket match, was played from 7 to 11 June 2023 at The Oval, London, between Australia national cricket team, Australia and India national cricket team, India. 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship
The 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship was the third edition of the ICC World Test Championship. It started in June 2023 with the Ashes, which was contested between England and Australia, and finished in June 2025 with the final played between Australia and South Africa at Lord's. In the final, South Africa defeated Australia by 5 wickets to win their maiden championship. This was also their second ICC trophy after 1998.
