2023 Arab Futsal Cup
The 2023 Arab Futsal Cup hosted by the Saudi governorate of Jeddah was the seventh edition of the Arab Futsal Cup between 6 and 16 June 2023. For the first time, twelve teams took part: Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Iraq, Kuwait, Egypt, Tajikistan, Palestine, Algeria, Comoros, Lebanon, Libya, and Mauritania. Morocco is the two-time defending champion. They became the first team to win the title for a record third consecutive time and overall, after defeating Kuwait 7-1 in the final. 2022 Arab Futsal Cup
The 2022 Arab Futsal Cup hosted by the Saudi city of Dammam was the sixth edition of the Arab Futsal Cup between 20 and 28 June 2022. Ten teams took part: Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Palestine, Iraq, Kuwait, Mauritania, Egypt, Libya, Algeria and Somalia. Morocco defeated Iraq 3–0 in the final to win their second title. Egyptian Football Association
The Egyptian Football Association ( ar, الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم) is the governing body of football in Egypt. A member of FIFA since 1923 and a founding member of CAF, the EFA has jurisdiction for the Egyptian football league system and is in charge of the men's and women's national teams. The EFA headquarters is located in Gezira, Cairo. Prince Abdullah al-Faisal Stadium ( ar, استاد الأمير عبدالله الفيصل) is a stadium in the port city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The stadium is located in the south east of Jeddah, between King Abdulaziz University and the industrial city (Al Waziriah District). It is bound in the east by the Jeddah-Makkah expressway and in the south, Stadium street. 2023 Sudan Conflict
An armed conflict between rival factions of the military government of Sudan began on 15 April 2023, when clashes broke out in cities, with the fighting concentrated around the capital city of Khartoum and the Darfur region. As of 27 May, at least 1,800 people had been killed and more than 5,100 others had been injured. The conflict began with attacks by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on government sites.
