2022–23 Utah Jazz Season
The 2022–23 Utah Jazz season was the 49th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On June 5, 2022, Quin Snyder resigned from his position as head coach of the Utah Jazz after eight seasons with the team. On June 29, 2022, the Utah Jazz hired Will Hardy as their head coach. For the first time since 2017–18 season Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell were not on the roster as they were traded before the season. The Jazz got to a hot start, going 10–3 in their first 13 games. However, they struggled massively down the road, as after that they tip-toed between .500 and below. They would go 27–42 in their final games, which led to them being eliminated from playoff contention for the first time since 2016 on April 6, 2023, following their loss to the Thunder and suffering their first losing season since the same year. Will Hardy
William Culvahouse Hardy (born January 21, 1988) is an American professional basketball coach and former collegiate player who is the head coach for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Professional career San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics After graduating from Williams College, Hardy was connected with San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich through a member of the basketball staff at Williams College who was an associate of Popovich and recommended him for an internship thanks to his high basketball IQ. Hardy coached the Spurs Summer League team for several years while working in other roles for the main team. The 2022–23 San Antonio Spurs season was the 56th season of the franchise, its 47th in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and its 50th in the San Antonio area. Moda Center, formerly known as the Rose Garden, is the primary indoor sports arena in Portland, Oregon, United States. It is used for basketball, rodeos, circuses, conventions, ice shows, concerts, and dramatic productions. The arena has a capacity of 20,500 spectators when configured for basketball. It is equipped with state-of-the-art acoustics and other amenities. The arena is owned by the City of Portland. Jordan Clarkson
Jordan Taylor Clarkson (born June 7, 1992) is an American and Filipino professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for two seasons with Tulsa before transferring to Missouri, where he earned second-team all-conference honors in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). After forgoing his senior year in college to enter the 2014 NBA draft, Clarkson was selected by the Washington Wizards in the second round with the 46th overall pick and was immediately traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. Rogers Place is a multi-use indoor arena in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Construction started in March 2014, and the building officially opened on September 8, 2016. The arena has a seating capacity of 18,347 as a ice hockey, hockey venue and 20,734 as a concert venue. It replaced Northlands Coliseum (opened 1974) as the home of the National Hockey League, NHL's Edmonton Oilers and the Western Hockey League, WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings. Jarred Jakobi Vanderbilt (born April 3, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
