2022–23 Tweede Divisie
The 2022–23 Tweede Divisie, known as Jack's League for sponsorship reasons, season is the seventh edition of the Dutch third tier since ending its hiatus since the 1970-71 season and the 22nd edition using the Tweede Divisie name. The agreement that called for neither promotion to nor relegation from the Eerste Divisie, implemented in 2017 and recently extended in 2019, will end after this season. Tweede Divisie
Tweede Divisie ( en, Second Division) is the highest amateur (and historically the lowest professional) football league in the Netherlands. It was established in 1956, together with the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie. Between 1956 and 1960 and between 1962 and 1966, the league consisted of two divisions, Tweede Divisie A and Tweede Divisie B. The league was disbanded in 1971. Six clubs were promoted to the Eerste Divisie (De Volewijckers, FC Eindhoven, FC VVV, Fortuna Vlaardingen, PEC and Roda JC), while the other eleven teams became amateur clubs. Plans for a new, amateur Tweede Divisie, to be made up of 4 reserve teams and 14 Topklasse clubs, were approved in a KNVB assembly in December 2014. De Treffers
De Treffers is an amateur football club from Groesbeek, Netherlands. The club plays in the Tweede Divisie, the highest amateur league of Dutch football. History It was founded in 1919, and its first chairman was Jan Piepenbreier. De Treffers has been a member of the Royal Dutch Football Association since around 1930. In the seasons 1935–1936 and 1936–1937 it was champion of the eastern district of the Eerste Klasse (First amateur league), at the time the highest league in Dutch amateur football. In both seasons De Treffers failed to win the national amateur championship. After the Second World War De Treffers performed less well. Sportpark De Westmaat
Sportpark De Westmaat is a sporting complex located in Spakenburg, Netherlands. It is home to football clubs IJsselmeervogels and SV Spakenburg. The complex has eight fields. There are two grandstands around the main field. There are also indoor facilities for bad weather. The "Red" side The "red" side of the complex is home to ametuer club IJsselmeervogels. In the 2016–17 Derde Divisie, the club averaged about 2,000 fans per game as they secured promotion to the Tweede Divisie. In addition the "red" side has 3 other fields. Main stadium The main stadium has a capacity of 9,000; making it one of the largest in the Tweede Divisie. There is also an LED board where sponsors of IJsselmeervogels can advertise by means of a message on LED boarding. This was unique in amateur football at the time of installation. Spakenburg
Spakenburg is a Dutch village north of Bunschoten. Spakenburg is formally called Bunschoten-Spakenburg since its fusion with Bunschoten. The village lies south of the IJsselmeer in the municipality Bunschoten, Utrecht. It is one of the few places left in the Netherlands where some women still wear local traditional clothes. Hardenberg (; nds-nl, Haddenbarreg or '' 'n Arnbarg'') is a city and municipality in the province of Overijssel, Eastern Netherlands. Maassluis () is a city in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality had a population of in and covered of which was water. Quick Boys
Quick Boys is an amateur football club from Katwijk aan Zee, Netherlands. The club, established on February 1, 1920, is the second most successful amateur football club in the Netherlands, behind IJsselmeervogels. The club joined the football competition in 1921–22, in the ''Leidsche Voetbal Bond'' (LVB), the football association for Leiden. The club played in the Sunday league but a ban on entry charges on Sunday caused financial troubles and Quick Boys moved to the new Saturday league. Quick Boys have played at the highest amateur level since the founding of the club in 1920. The club won 9 titles in the ''Eerste Klasse'', and joined the new Saturday Hoofdklasse in 1996, winning a further four titles. Voetbalvereniging Noordwijk is a Dutch football club founded in 1933, based in Noordwijk. It currently competes in the Tweede Divisie. FC Lisse
FC Lisse is a Dutch football club from Lisse which was founded in 1981. It currently plays in the Tweede Divisie. History The history of FC Lisse is linked to its Catholic religion, the first version of a football club being formed in 1911 by a local Catholic priest, called Lissese Voetbal Vereniging, which was later renamed Lisse Racing Club. In 1921 a separate team, RKVV Lisse, was formed. In 1942 Lisse RC was dissolved, and after World War Two another club, Lisser Boys, was formed.
