2022–23 First Football League (Croatia)
The 2022–23 First Football League (also known as Prva nogometna liga and 1. NL) is the 32nd season of the second-level football competition for men's association football teams in Croatia, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 13 August 2022 and will last until the spring of 2023. The league is contested by 12 teams, four less than the previous season, and played in a triple round robin format. This is the first season that the second level of men's football in Croatia was named ''First football league'' (''Prva nogometna liga''). Teams The following teams will compete in the 2022–23 Prva NL. Changes Varaždin was promoted to the 2022–23 HNL, while Croatia Zmijavci, Osijek II, Sesvete and Opatija were relegated to 2022–23 Druga NL. Dinamo Zagreb II was disbanded. The Prva nogometna liga ( en, First football league), commonly Prva NL or 1. NL, is the second tier of the football league system in Croatia. The league was formed in 1991 with the breakup of Yugoslavia and the dissolution of the Yugoslav Second League. The 1. NL is operated by the Croatian Football Federation, which also was formed in 1991, contributing (along with the newly formed Football Association of Slovenia) to the dissolution of the Football Association of Yugoslavia. Between the 2001–02 season and 2005–06 season, the league was split in two divisions, one being the Northern Croatian Second League and the other being the Southern Croatian Second League. HNK Vukovar 1991 is a professional Croatian football club based in Vukovar, a city in Slavonia region. They were re-founded in 2012, and they currently play in the Croatian First Football League, the second level of Croatian football. Stadion HNK Cibalia
Stadion Cibalia is a multi-purpose stadium in Vinkovci, Croatia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of HNK Cibalia. It has a grass court, surrounded with a clay running surface, and stands, a part of which is covered. Vinkovci () is a city in Slavonia, in the Vukovar-Syrmia County in eastern Croatia. NK Jarun Zagreb are a football team from Jarun neighborhood of Zagreb, Croatia, currently playing in the 2. HNL, the Croatian second division. They play their home games at the Jarkas pitch on Ogulinska Street. HNK Orijent is a football club from Sušak, the eastern part of the city of Rijeka, Croatia. The club was established under the name ''Orient'' in 1919.
