2022–23 Egyptian Super Cup
The 2023 Egyptian Super Cup was the 20th Egyptian Super Cup, an annual football match between the winners of the previous season's Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup. The match is usually contested by the winners of the Egyptian League and the Egypt Cup, but after the withdrawal of Zamalek. Pyramids qualified by default as the runners-up of the cup, and Al Ahly after winning the ( 2021–22 Egypt Cup) . The match was played on 5 May 2023 and for the 6th time in the United Arab Emirates at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Al Ahly won the match 1–0 after extra time. Egyptian Super Cup
The Egyptian Super Cup is Football in Egypt, Egyptian football's annual match contested between the champions of the Egyptian Premier League season and the holders of the Egypt Cup. If the Egyptian Premier League champions also won the Egypt Cup then the cup runners-up provide the opposition. The competition was founded in 2001, the first team to win the trophy was Zamalek SC. From the 2023-24 season the tournament is characterized by a new format, four teams will compete instead of the usual two teams. Ahmed El Shenawy
Ahmed Nasser Nasser Mahmoud Moawad El Shenawy (; born 14 May 1991), is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids and the Egyptian national team. Club career Zamalek After Al-Masry decided not to participate in the 2012–13 season, sympathizing with the relatives of the martyrs of the Port Said Stadium disaster, El-Shenawy was loaned to Egyptian giant Zamalek SC for one season. Ahmed Fathy Abdelmonem Ahmed Ibrahim (; born 10 November 1984) is an Egyptian former professional association football, footballer who played as a full-back (association football), full-back.
