2022–23 East Bengal FC Season
The 2022–23 season was the 103rd season of East Bengal Football Club and their third season in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The Indian football season started in August and ended in April. During the season, East Bengal competed in the Durand Cup and got eliminated in the group stage, they finished fourth in the Calcutta Football League, had a ninth-place finish in the Indian Super League and got eliminated in the group stage of the Super Cup. Before the start of the season, East Bengal and Shree Cement's joint venture was terminated, and the club inked a new partnership with Emami as their principal investor in August. Stephen Constantine was appointed as the new head coach. East Bengal however, ended the league campaign with just six wins and thirteen defeats, finishing at the ninth position and with eliminations from group stages from both the Durand Cup and the Indian Super Cup. Bino George
Bino George Chiramal Padinjarathala (born 22 November 1976) is an Indian professional manager (coach) and former footballer. He was the East Bengal assistant coach to Stephen Constantine for the Indian Super League. He is currently coaching the reserve teams. He passed the AFC Professional Coaching Diploma and became the first pro licence holder from Kerala. Playing career Non-league Bino started playing at the age of 14, when he was studying in Govt. The Kerala football team (Malayalam: കേരള ഫുട്ബോൾ ടീം) is an Indian state level football team representing Kerala in Indian state football competitions including the Santosh Trophy. They have appeared in the Santosh Trophy finals 15 times, and have won the trophy 7 times. The 2021–22 Indian Super League season is the 8th season of the Indian Super League (ISL) Since its formation and 26th season of the top division of the Indian football league system. The start date and fixtures for the first 11 rounds were announced on 13 September 2021. Fixtures for final 11 rounds were announced on 21 December 2021. It is hosted behind closed doors across three venues in Goa due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
