2022–23 Chicago Bulls Season
The 2022–23 Chicago Bulls season was the 57th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). With a loss to the Indiana Pacers on March 5, the Bulls were not able to improve on their 46–36 record from their previous season. Instead, they finished with a struggling record of 40–42. However, it was good enough to qualify for the play-in tournament. They would defeat the Toronto Raptors 109–105 in the first game after mounting a comeback from a 19-point deficit, but ended up losing to the Miami Heat 102–91 in the second game, eliminating them from playoff contention for the 6th time in the past 7 seasons. Billy Donovan
William John Donovan Jr. (born May 30, 1965) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before moving to the NBA, he served as the head basketball coach at the University of Florida from 1996 to 2015, and led his Florida Gator teams to back-to-back NCAA championships in 2006 and 2007, as well as an NCAA championship appearance in 2000. Donovan was born and raised in Rockville Centre on Long Island, New York, where he played basketball at St. Agnes Cathedral High School.
