2022 USL League One Season
The 2022 USL League One season was the fourth season of USL League One. The regular season began on April 2 and ended on October 15. The playoffs began on October 22 and ended on November 6. Eleven teams participated in the 2022 season, one fewer than the previous season. Four reserve teams operated by clubs in Major League Soccer that participated in the previous season ( Fort Lauderdale CF, New England Revolution II, North Texas SC and Toronto FC II) began play in MLS's new developmental league, MLS Next Pro. They were replaced by expansion franchises Central Valley Fuego FC and Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC, and by Charlotte Independence, who decided to move from USL Championship to USL League One. USL League One
USL League One (USL1) is a professional men's association football, soccer league in the United States that had its inaugural season in 2019 USL League One season, 2019. The United States soccer league system, Division III league is operated by the United Soccer League, the same group that operates the Division II USL Championship and other leagues. the league has 14 teams who play 30 regular season games, followed by playoffs. All teams also participate in the USL Cup, adding four games, followed by knockout rounds. Martín Vásquez Gómez (born December 24, 1963) is an American former professional Association football, soccer player. The first of five players to have played for both the United States men's national soccer team, United States and Mexico national football team, Mexico, he has served as a Manager (association football), coach since retiring. South Georgia Tormenta FC, or simply Tormenta FC, is an American soccer organization based in Statesboro, Georgia, United States. Founded in 2015, the club fields a professional team in USL League One, the third tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, as well as a pre-professional team in USL League Two called Tormenta FC 2 (which is on hiatus since the 2023 season) and a pre-professional team in USL W League. The United Soccer League (USL) is an organizer of various professional and amateur soccer leagues in the United States league system. It currently organizes its Championship, League One, and League Two for men, its Super League and W League for women, and the USL Academy and USL Youth for youth players. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States, forming part of the United States soccer league system. The league will feature 144 teams for the 2025 season, split into nineteen regional divisions across four conferences. USL League Two is headquartered in Tampa, Florida.
