2022 USF Juniors
The 2022 USF Juniors championship was the inaugural season of USF Juniors. It became the new first rung of the Road to Indy ladder. The season featured a six-round 16-race calendar, which began April 23 at Ozarks International Raceway and concluded on September 18 at the Circuit of the Americas. Drivers and teams Schedule * The round at Ozarks International Raceway was scheduled to have 3 races, but the third race was cancelled due to poor weather conditions. To make up for the cancelled race, a third race was added for the event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The USF Juniors championship, also known as USF Juniors presented by Continental Tire for sponsorship reasons, is an American auto racing series running with U.S. F2000 National Championship, USF2000 cars (as of 2023). The series was inaugurated in 2022 as a new first rung of the Road to Indy, below the USF2000 Championship. The series is owned by Andersen Promotions and sanctioned by United States Auto Club, USAC. Giorgio Carrara
Giorgio Emiliano Carrara (born 16 February 2001) is an Argentine racing driver who last competed in the 2022 USF Juniors season. He has previously competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship. Career Karting Carrara started karting in 2010 in Argentina at the age of 9 where he won a championship in 2015. Italian Formula 4 In 2017, Carrara moved over to race in Europe for the first time when he made his single-seater debut in the Italian F4 Championship with Jenzer Motorsport. He finished 16th while finishing in the points three times, finishing on a total of six points. In 2018, Carrara improved on his previous year while staying with Jenzer he finished on the podium three times which helped with his 112 points that sat him in 7th to finish the championship. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a road course auto racing facility located in Troy Township, Morrow County, Ohio, United States, just outside the village of Lexington. It hosts a number of racing series such as IndyCar, IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, along with other club events such has SCCA and National Auto Sport Association. Virginia International Raceway (VIR) is a race track located in Alton, Virginia, near Danville. It is less than a half-mile from the North Carolina/Virginia border just outside Milton, North Carolina, on the banks of the Dan River. VIR hosts amateur and professional automobile and motorcycle events, driving schools, club days, and private test rentals.
