2022 Texas Longhorns Volleyball Team
The 2022 Texas Longhorns volleyball team represented the University of Texas in the 2022 NCAA Division I women's volleyball season. The Texas Longhorns women's volleyball team, led by 22nd year head coach Jerritt Elliott, played their home games at Gregory Gymnasium. The Longhorns were members of the Big 12. The Longhorns won their 6th straight Big 12 Championship, 15th overall, going 15–1 in conference play. Texas defeated Louisville 3–0 to win the team's 3rd NCAA Title and 4th National Title overall. Longhorn's outside hitter Logan Eggleston was named AVCA National Player of the Year, the first Texas player to receive the award In addition, fellow Longhorn's Zoe Fleck, Asjia O'Neal, Madisen Skinner, Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres, and Molly Phillips were recognized as All-Americans alongside Eggleston. Jerritt Elliott
Jerritt Kurt Elliott (born April 28, 1968) is an American volleyball head coach of the Texas Longhorns volleyball, Texas Longhorns women's volleyball team since 2001. Personal life Elliott is a native of California and graduated from Palisades Charter High School, Palisades High School in Pacific Palisades, California, where he was a high school standout in volleyball. He was teammates with Olympic Games, Olympic gold medalist Kent Steffes and led his high school team to an undefeated 36-0 record during his senior year. After high school, he played men's volleyball at both Pepperdine University, Pepperdine from 1986-1988 and University of Hawaii at Manoa, Hawai'i from 1989-1990 before graduating from Cal State Northridge in 1991 with a degree in kinesiology. The Oklahoma Sooners are the athletic teams that represent the University of Oklahoma, located in Norman. The Kansas Jayhawks, commonly referred to as simply KU or Kansas, are the athletic teams that represent the University of Kansas. High Point Panthers Women's Volleyball
The High Point Panthers women's volleyball team is an NCAA Division I volleyball team representing High Point University as part of the Big South Conference. They play their home games at Millis Athletic Convocation Center in High Point, North Carolina. History High Point University created a volleyball team in 1973, with the Panthers joining the present-day Conference Carolinas, where they played until the 1997 academic year. The Panthers competed only in the NAIA until 1992, had dual membership with the NAIA and Division II in 1993–1994, and moved up to exclusively Division II in 1995. The program had a spate of successful seasons from 1975 to 1980, winning six straight conference titles and peaking with 42 wins in back-to-back years in 1977–1978. Houston Cougars
The Houston Cougars are the athletic teams representing the University of Houston. Informally, the Houston Cougars have also been referred to as the Coogs, UH, or simply Houston. Houston's nickname was suggested by early physical education instructor of the university and former head football coach, John R. The Denver Pioneers are the sports teams of the University of Denver (DU). They play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I.
