2022 Segunda División RFEF Play-offs
The 2022 Segunda División RFEF play-offs (Playoffs de Ascenso or Promoción de Ascenso) were the final play-offs for promotion from 2021–22 Segunda División RFEF to the 2022–23 Primera División RFEF. Venues On 11 March 2022, the Province of Alicante was announced as the venue for the promotion play-off, initially the cities of Alicante and La Nucía were confirmed. On 3 May 2022, the cities of Alcoy, Benidorm and Elda were added as the other play-off venues. Format Twenty teams participated in the promotion play-off. Each of the five groups of the Segunda División RFEF were represented by the four teams that finished the regular season between the second and fifth positions. In the draw for the first stage, the participating teams were assigned to pots corresponding to their final regular season position. 2021–22 Segunda División RFEF
The 2021–22 Segunda División RFEF season was the first for the Segunda División RFEF, the new fourth highest level in the Spanish football league system. It supplanted Tercera División, which downgraded to the fifth tier as Tercera División RFEF and succeeded the old Segunda División B, which was replaced by Primera División RFEF as the third level of the pyramid. Ninety teams will participate, divided into five groups of eighteen clubs each based on geographical proximity. In each group, the champions automatically promoted to Primera División RFEF, and the second to fifth placers will play promotion play-offs. The last five teams in each group will be relegated to the Tercera División RFEF; in addition, the four worst teams classified 13th in their group will play play-offs to define the last two relegation places. Estadi Olímpic Camilo Cano
Estadi Olímpic Camilo Cano is a stadium located in the Spanish town of La Nucía. The venue is part of the Camilo Cano Sports City. The stadium is mainly used for soccer and athletics, and is the home of the CF La Nucía, which plays in the Segunda División B. In addition to functioning as a temporary stadium for the Levante UD during the final part of the 2019–20 La Liga season.
