2022 Pittsburgh Steelers Season
The 2022 season was the Pittsburgh Steelers' 90th in the National Football League (NFL) and their 16th under head coach Mike Tomlin. This was their first season since 2003 without long-time quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on the roster, as he announced his retirement on January 27, 2022. It was also the first season since 1999 without long-time general manager Kevin Colbert, as he announced on January 28, 2022 that after 22 years with the organization, he would step down following the 2022 NFL draft. He was succeeded by Omar Khan as general manager and Andy Weidl as assistant general manager on May 25, 2022. The Steelers began their season with a 2–6 record, their worst start since 2013, and failed to improve on their 9–7–1 record from 2021. AFC North
The American Football Conference – Northern Division or AFC North is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The division was created after the NFL realigned its divisions upon expanding to 32 teams, with the 2002 NFL season marking the league's first season following this restructuring. The division consists of the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Prior to this realignment, these teams were members of the AFC Central Division, along with the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars. Kevin Colbert
Kevin Colbert (; born January 1957) is an American professional football executive who serves a consultant for Colorado State. He served as the general manager of Pittsburgh Steelers from 2000 to 2021. Colbert is widely credited with putting together the Super Bowl XL and the Super Bowl XLIII teams in Pittsburgh along with owner Dan Rooney, president Art Rooney II, and coaches Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin. DeMarvin Leal (born July 1, 2000) is an American professional football linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies. He was named a consensus All-American as a junior in 2021. Early life Leal attended Judson High School in Converse, Texas. George Malik Pickens Jr. (born March 4, 2001) is an American professional football wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL).
