2022 NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament
The 2022 NCAA Division III baseball tournament was the 46th edition of the NCAA Division III baseball tournament. The 60-team tournament began on Friday, May 20 as part of the 2022 NCAA Division III baseball season and concluded with the 2022 Division III College World Series in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, which started on June 3 and ended on June 9. Eastern Connecticut State University, Eastern Connecticut State came won the final game of the tournament to win their 5th national championship. Veterans Memorial Stadium is a minor league baseball stadium in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It is the home field of the Cedar Rapids Kernels of the Midwest League. It is often called New Veterans Memorial Stadium to distinguish it from the original Veterans Memorial Stadium, which existed from 1949 to 2001. Colonial States Athletic Conference
The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) is an NCAA Division III collegiate athletic conference in the Mid-Atlantic United States. There are currently nine full member institutions as of 2018. The conference's membership, as with most Middle Atlantic conferences, was shaken as a result of the formation of the Landmark Conference and its ensuing domino effect. The conference, founded in 1992 as the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference, changed its name in 2008. The CSAC experienced another shakeup in 2018 when five members departed the conference to join with two other institutions to form a new Division III conference that eventually became the Atlantic East Conference. 2016 NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament
The 2016 NCAA Division III baseball tournament was played at the end of the 2016 NCAA Division III baseball season to determine the 41st national champion of college baseball at the NCAA Division III level. The tournament concluded with eight teams competing at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute, Wisconsin for the championship. Eight regional tournaments were held to determine the participants in the World Series. Regional tournaments were contested in double-elimination format, with four regions consisting of six teams, and four consisting of eight, for a total of 56 teams participating in the tournament. The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) is a college athletic conference which competes in the Division III level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
