2022 Miami Dolphins
The 2022 season was the Miami Dolphins' 53rd in the National Football League (NFL), their 57th overall, the first under new head coach Mike McDaniel, and seventh under general manager Chris Grier. It also set out with the acquisition of 3x All-Pro receiver Tyreek Hill, who joined Jaylen Waddle as Tua Tagovailoa's receiving duo after breaking contract talks with the Chiefs and being traded in March. The Dolphins made the playoffs for the first time since 2016, finishing with three straight winning seasons for the first time since the 2001– 2003 seasons. With an 8–3 record by Week 12, the Dolphins had their best start since the 2001 season. However, despite starting the season 8–3, the Dolphins suffered a late-season collapse, losing five straight games. It was marred by several concussions sustained by Tagovailoa that brought into question the teams' handling of concussion protocol and caused him to miss or leave six games. The Vikings started 8–1 for the first time since 2009. They improved upon their 8–9 record from 2021 and clinched the NFC North for the first time since 2017, finishing with a 13–4 record. Despite the Vikings' strong record, many analysts did not view them as legitimate championship contenders due to most of their wins being within one score (11 of 13 wins) and three of their four losses being blowouts. The Vikings ranked 31st in total yards allowed (6,608) and finished the season with a negative point differential (−3), the first time this had been done by a team with at least 12 wins. Some of those claims subsided after the win over the Colts, in ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

2022 Baltimore Ravens Season
The 2022 season was the Baltimore Ravens' 27th in the National Football League (NFL) and their 15th under head coach John Harbaugh. They improved on their 8–9 record from the previous season and qualified for the postseason after missing the playoffs the previous season. The Ravens' three preseason victories extended their preseason winning streak to 23 games, which is an NFL record. The Ravens also held double-digit leads in their first 10 games of the season (they would have only three after that). However, this was also the first season in franchise history that the Ravens went the entire season without scoring a defensive touchdown. Injuries on offense again plagued the Ravens for the second straight year, despite it resulting in a playoff appearance. RBs Gus Edwards and J. K. The Dolphins had high expectations after winning their last six games of the 2005 season, and were picked by Sports Illustrated to reach Super Bowl XLI. Instead, the Dolphins failed to improve on their 9–7 record in 2005, and they finished the 2006 season 6–10, which was just their second losing season since 1988. After the season, Dolphins coach Nick Saban abandoned his contract to coach college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, despite saying repeatedly that he would stay in Miami. This season was also notorious for the Dolphins almost signing former San Diego Chargers quarterback Drew Brees, as they were one of the two teams (the other being the New Orleans Saints) interested in acquiring the released quarterback. However the Dolphins later declined the i ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

2018 Miami Dolphins Season
The 2018 season was the Miami Dolphins' 49th in the National Football League (NFL), their 53rd overall and their third and last under head coach Adam Gase. During the offseason, the Dolphins tweaked their uniforms' orange color to better align with their classical past and history. For the second straight season, they also brought back their throwback uniforms from the Shula/ Marino eras and wore them for three games. With quarterback Ryan Tannehill playing for the first time since 2016, the highlight of the Dolphins' season came during a memorable Week 14 win against division rival and defending back-to-back AFC champion New England Patriots, which prevented the Patriots from clinching the AFC East that week. However, the Dolphins would lose all of their remaining games and missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year. The 7–9 finish was also the team's second consecutive losing season, with all 7 wins decided by one possession scores. Roster changes Signing ...
