2022 Lamar Cardinals Baseball Team
The 2022 Lamar Cardinals baseball team represented Lamar University during the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Cardinals played their home games at Vincent–Beck Stadium and were led by sixth–year head coach Will Davis. They were members of the Western Athletic Conference. This was Lamar's first year in the WAC. The Cardinals had a regular season record of 37–21 and a conference record of 20–10 finishing in second place in the WAC Southwest division, one game behind division winner Sam Houston. They participated in the 2022 Western Athletic Conference baseball tournament as the second seeded team from the Southwest Division. After winning their first conference tournament game against Seattle, the Cardinals' season ended after losing to West Division first seed Grand Canyon and Southwest Division fourth seed Abilene Christian. Will Davis (baseball)
William Randall Davis Jr. (born May 29, 1984) is an American college baseball coach and former catcher. Davis is the head coach of the Lamar Cardinals baseball team. Davis is the son of former college baseball coach Randy Davis who was an assistant coach at UL-Monroe, LSU, and South Carolina and the head coach at Louisiana Tech. The elder Davis died in February 2022. Will Davis is married to the former Danielle Hall of Bogalusa, Louisiana. She is a former cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints. The couple have three children Everly (2016), Coco (2020), and Crash (2022). Playing career Davis attended Robert E. Lee High School (now Liberty Magnet High School) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Blue Bell Hill Park commonly known as Blue Bell Park is a small park located in Blue Bell Hill by Germantown, Philadelphia. The park is located on the Wissahickon Creek and is directly southeast of Wissahickon Valley Park. The RittenhouseTown Historic District is located at Blue Bell Hill. Jaycees Field is a baseball venue in Nacogdoches, Texas, United States. It is home to the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks baseball team of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference. Husky Field is a baseball venue on the campus of Houston Christian University in Houston, Texas, United States. It is home to the Houston Christian Huskies baseball team of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference. Opened in 1993, it has a capacity of 500 spectators. The 2022 Houston Baptist Huskies baseball team represented Houston Baptist University, now known as Houston Christian University, during the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Huskies played their home games at Husky Field and were led by first–year head coach Lance Berkman, former star player with the Houston Astros. They were members of the Southland Conference. This was the last season for the Huskies under the Houston Baptist name. The university changed its name to Houston Christian University on September 21 of that year. Schroeder Park
Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park (formerly known as Cougar Field) is a baseball park in Houston, Texas. It is the home field of the Houston Cougars baseball team. Several iterations of the ballpark have existed. The current stadium holds 5,000 people, and opened for baseball in 1995. With a 1,500 square foot Daktronics video board, Schroeder Park features the second-largest scoreboard in college baseball. Reckling Park
Reckling Park is the baseball stadium at Rice University in Houston, Texas, USA. It serves as the home field of the Rice Owls baseball team. The stadium was built on the site of Cameron Field, Rice's home from 1978–99, in time for the 2000 season. The Owls have hosted 10 NCAA regional and five super regional tournaments at Reckling Park, including one of each in their national championship season of 2003 and in the years of other College World Series appearances, 2002, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
