2022 Kansas Jayhawks Football Team
The 2022 Kansas Jayhawks football team represented the University of Kansas in the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. It was the Jayhawks 133rd season. The Jayhawks played their home games at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, Kansas, and competed in the Big 12 Conference. They were led by second-year head coach Lance Leipold. The Jayhawks finished the season 6–7 overall and 3–6 in the Big 12. They qualified for the 2022 Liberty Bowl where they lost to 2022 Arkansas Razorbacks football team, Arkansas. The Jayhawks won their first two games to start the season 2–0 for the first time since 2011 Kansas Jayhawks football, 2011. Kyron Johnson
Kyron Johnson (born July 24, 1998) is an American professional football linebacker. He played college football for the Kansas Jayhawks and was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft. Early life Johnson attended high school at Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas. In a game against North Crowley his senior year, he was taken off the field on a stretcher. Travis Partridge (born September 22, 1990) is an American college football coach and former quarterback. He played college football at Missouri Western State University and attended Savannah High School in Savannah, Missouri. Liberty Bowl
The Liberty Bowl is an annual American college football bowl game played in late December or early January since 1959. For its first five years, it was played at Philadelphia Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia before being held at Atlantic City (New Jersey) Convention Hall in 1964. Since 1965, the game has been held at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee.
