2022 Indonesia Masters
The 2022 Indonesia Masters (officially known as the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament that took place at the Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Indonesia, from 7 to 12 June 2022 and had a total prize of US$360,000. Tournament The 2022 Indonesia Masters was the tenth tournament of the 2022 BWF World Tour and was part of the Indonesia Masters championships, which had been held since 2010. This tournament was organized by the Badminton Association of Indonesia with sanction from the BWF. Istora Gelora Bung Karno
Gelora Bung Karno Sports Palace (, abbreviated as ''Istora''), (formerly named ''Istora Senayan'' between 1969 and 2001) is an indoor arena located in Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Jakarta, Indonesia. The capacity of the arena after 2018 reopening is 7,166. This arena is usually used for badminton tournaments, especially the BWF tournaments Indonesia Open (badminton), Indonesia Open since 1982 and Indonesia Masters since 2018, as well as the Indonesia men's national basketball team. Zhao Junpeng (, born 2 February 1996) is a Chinese badminton player. In 2016 and 2017, he became the runner-up at the China International Challenge tournament in the men's singles event. He won his first senior international title at the 2016 Macau Open Grand Prix Gold where he defeated Chou Tien-chen of Chinese Taipei in straight games in the final. Nhat Nguyen
Nhat Nguyen (, ; born 16 June 2000) is a Vietnamese-born Irish badminton player. Biography Nguyen was born in the suburbs of Hanoi, Vietnam and moved to Cavan, Ireland with his parents and older sister, when he was six years old. He began representing Ireland internationally when he received his Irish passport and citizenship in 2017; before that he was unable to travel outside Ireland to compete overseas. He was the gold medalist at the 2016 European U17 Championships in the boys' singles event, and also won bronze in the doubles event partnered with Paul Reynolds. In the same year, he clinched the men's singles title at the Irish National Championships. Shesar Hiren Rhustavito (born 3 March 1994) is an Indonesian badminton player who affiliate with Djarum club. He won four consecutives Indonesia International tournament, two times at the USM International in Semarang, and two times at the Victor International in Surabaya. Loh Kean Yew LKY (born 26 June 1997) is a Singaporean badminton player. He is the former men's singles world champion, winning the title at the 2021 BWF World Championships – Men's singles, 2021 BWF World Championships, becoming the first Singaporean to achieve this feat. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (; born 20 October 1996) is an Indonesian badminton player. He first rose to senior prominence when he won the bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games, having won a 2014 Youth Olympic bronze in 2014.
