2022 Flower City Union Season
The 2022 Flower City Union season was the club's first season of existence, and their first in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA), the third tier of American soccer. The Union's season began on March 26, 2022, and concluded on October 10, 2022. The Union finished at the bottom of the NISA table. Background The club's history begins in 2017, when the long-time professional soccer club in the Rochester metropolitan area, the Rochester Rhinos announced they were going on a hiatus beginning in 2018. The hiatus left the city without a professional soccer team for the first time since 19985, and left the city's soccer-specific stadium, Marina Auto Stadium, without a main tenant. In 2020, a ownership group headed by David Weaver, the CEO and founder of Rochester-based Aphex BioCleanse Systems Inc. and a former Kodak optical engineer, submitted an application for a NISA team in Rochester. The Flower City Union is an American professional soccer team based in Rochester, New York, United States, that plays in the National Independent Soccer Association, a third tier league of the United States soccer league system. Its home stadium is Rochester Community Sports Complex Stadium. Jordan Saling
Jordan Saling (born March 15, 1996) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder for Flower City Union in the National Independent Soccer Association. Born in the mainland United States, he represents the Puerto Rico national team. Youth career During his youth Saling played for Parsippany SC, NASA United, and Paramus Catholic High School. College career For the 2016/2017 season, Saling played college soccer for the Generals of Herkimer County Community College. He was the team's second-top scorer with twelve goals while adding nine assists as he started all twenty of the team's matches. He was named national player of the week, first team All Mountain Valley, first team All-Region, and to the NSCAA All East Team. For the 2017/18 season he transferred to Wilmington University. West Chester United SC is an American soccer club based in West Chester, Pennsylvania that currently competes in both the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) and USL League Two. The organization also fields a side in the United Soccer League of Pennsylvania, a fully-amateur state league. History The team was announced on January 18, 2017 as an NPSL expansion team. West Chester is a non-profit youth organization, with over 3,400 boys and girls ages 3 to 18 and approximately 350 adult players. Oregon State Beavers Men's Soccer
The Oregon State Beavers men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Oregon State University and competes in the Pac-12 Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The team was founded in 1988 and has competed in 26 college soccer seasons since that time. The Beavers qualified for the NCAA tournament on six occasions, making their deepest run in the tournament in 2021 where they reached the quarterfinals. The team has produced one Hermann Trophy winner, five NSCAA All-Americans and has had five players play for their respective national teams at the senior level. The Rochester Lancers (formerly known as Rochester River Dogz FC) are an American soccer team based in Rochester, New York. Founded as the Rochester River Dogz in 2015, the team rebranded as the Rochester Lancers in April 2017. The team plays in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), a national league at the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Midwest Region.
