2022 FIBA Asia Cup
The 2022 FIBA Asia Cup was the 30th edition of the FIBA Asia Cup, the continental basketball championship in Asia. The tournament was organised by FIBA Asia. Originally intended to be the 2021 edition, the tournament was initially scheduled to take place between 3 and 15 August 2021, but it was postponed due to 17 to 29 August 2021 to avoid scheduling conflict with the 2020 Summer Olympics which was postponed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was later postponed again to 12 to 24 July 2022. Indonesia was the host for second time after staging the 1993 ABC Championship, 1993 edition. Zainudin Amali
Zainudin Amali (born 16 March 1962) is an Indonesian politician. From October 2019 to March 2023, he served as Minister of Youth and Sport in the 41st Cabinet of Indonesia. He resigned from the position to focus on football governance because he was elected as one of the Vice-chairs of PSSI, Indonesia's football governing body. 2011 FIBA Asia Championship
The 2011 FIBA Asia Championship for Men is the intercontinental championship for basketball organized by FIBA Asia that doubles as a qualifying tournament for the men's basketball tournament of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England, United Kingdom. The tournament was held in 15–25 September 2011 at Wuhan, Hubei, China. Lebanon was the original host for the event. Team China won the tournament, defeating Jordan 70–69 in the final. It was the first time in the history of FIBA Asia Cup that the title was won by just one single point. 2013 FIBA Asia Championship
The 2013 in sports, 2013 FIBA Asia Cup, FIBA Asia Championship for Men was the intercontinental championship for basketball organized by FIBA Asia that served as the qualifying tournament for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain. The tournament was held from August 1–11 in Metro Manila, Philippines. Beirut, Lebanon was supposed to host the tournament but the hosting rights was given to the Philippines citing the Syrian Civil War and security concerns in the Middle East in general. 2007 FIBA Asia Championship
The 2007 FIBA Asia Cup, FIBA Asia Championship for Men was the qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia at the Basketball at the Summer Olympics, men's basketball tournament at the 2008 Summer Olympics at Beijing. The tournament was held in Tokushima, Tokushima, Tokushima, Japan from July 28 to August 5, 2007. 2005 FIBA Asia Championship
The 2005 FIBA Asia Championship was the men's basketball qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan. In order to qualify for the tournament, teams would have to go through regional qualifier competitions. At the main tournament, three nations qualified for the world championships including China national basketball team, China, Lebanon men's national basketball team, Lebanon and the host country, Qatar national basketball team, Qatar. 2022 FIBA Asia Cup Qualification
The 2022 FIBA Asia Cup qualification was a basketball competition that was played from February 2018 to August 2021, to determine the fifteen FIBA Asia-Oceania nations who would join the automatically qualified host Indonesia at the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup. 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualification
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification was the first World Cup for which teams had to qualify for under the new qualification system. The process determined 31 out of the 32 teams that participated at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Qualified teams Format The continental championships no longer belong to the qualification system for the World Cup. Instead, two rounds of continental qualifying tournaments were held over two years in a home-and-away format. The first round of the qualifiers were held in late 2017 and early 2018.
