2022 Canoe Slalom World Cup
The 2022 Canoe Slalom World Cup was a series of five races in six canoeing and kayaking categories organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF). It was the 35th edition. Russia and Belarus were excluded from participation due to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Calendar The series opened with World Cup Race 1 in Prague, Czech Republic (10–12 June) and closed with the World Cup Final in La Seu, Spain (2–4 September). Standings The winner of each race was awarded 60 points (with double points awarded for the World Cup Final). Points for lower places differed from one category to another. Every participant was guaranteed at least 2 points for participation and 5 points for qualifying into the semifinal. International Canoe Federation
The International Canoe Federation (ICF) is the umbrella organization of all national canoe organizations worldwide. It is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, and administers all aspects of canoe sport worldwide. 157 countries are affiliated with the ICF after seven national federations were added at the 2008 ICF Congress in Rome. In light of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the ICF suspended athletes from Russia and Belarus from competing at any International Canoe Federation events, and suspended all officials from Russia and Belarus from officiating at any event sanctioned by ICF, and from attending or taking part in any ICF meetings, committees, and forums. Vojtěch Heger
Vojtěch Heger (born 23 August 2000) is a Czech slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2016. Heger competes in the C1 class and in kayak slalom, having initially competed in C2 alongside his older brother Tomáš and later with Antonie Galušková. Heger began paddling with KVS Hradec Králové in 2005, following his mother and brother into the sport. He moved to Brandýs nad Labem in 2015 and then to Prague, home of the Prague-Troja Canoeing Centre. He is currently studying physical education at Charles University. Václav Chaloupka (born 18 February 1998) is a Czech slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2014. Chaloupka is originally from Šternberk, Czech Republic and resides in Prague, home of the Prague-Troja Canoeing Centre. Roberto Colazingari (born 7 May 1993) is an Italian slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2008. He is from Subiaco and trains with C.S. Carabinieri, coached by 2012 Olympic Champion Daniele Molmenti. Roberto competed internationally in the C2 discipline in 2011 and 2012, now competing solely in C1. Denis Gargaud Chanut (born 22 July 1987) is a French slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level in C1 since 2004.
