2022 Canada Open
The 2022 Canada Open (officially known as the Yonex Canada Open 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament which took place at Markin-MacPhail Centre in Calgary, Canada, from 27 September to 2 October 2022 and had a total purse of $75,000. Tournament The 2022 Canada Open was the fourth Super 100 tournament of the 2022 BWF World Tour and also part of the Canada Open championships, which had been held since 1957. This tournament was organized by the Badminton Alberta and Badminton Canada and sanctioned by the BWF. Venue This international tournament was held at Markin-MacPhail Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. WinSport
The Calgary Olympic Development Association (CODA), operating as WinSport, is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada whose mandate is to provide training and development to Canada's Olympic athletes, and to maintain the facilities built for the 1988 Winter Olympics. The organization was founded in 1956 to bring the Olympics to Calgary, succeeding in its fourth attempt. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations (Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales). Victor Svendsen (born 2 August 1995) is a Danish badminton player. Svendsen has shown his talent as a badminton player since he was young. Trained at the Vendsyssel's talent department, he claimed the national U–13 elite team title and won the bronze medals in the singles and doubles event. Arnaud-Sylvain-André Merklé (born 25 April 2000) is a French badminton player from Staffelfelden. He was the boys singles European Junior Champion in 2018, and also part of the national junior team that clinched the mixed team title in 2017 and 2018. Misha Zilberman ( he, מישה זילברמן, russian: Миша Зильберман; born 30 January 1989) is an Israeli badminton player. He competed for Israel at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Summer Olympics.
