2022 British Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2022 British motorcycle Grand Prix (officially known as the Monster Energy British Grand Prix) was the twelfth round of the 2022 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It was held at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone on 7 August 2022. After Augusto Fernández's win in the Moto2 class, Kalex secured its tenth straight Constructors' Championship. Background Riders' entries In the MotoGP class, Honda test rider Stefan Bradl continues to replace Marc Márquez in the Repsol Honda Team. Diogo Moreira Nascimento (born 23 April 2004) is a Brazilian motorcycle racer, currently competing in the 2025 Moto2 World Championship for the Italtrans Racing Team. Career After starting his motorcycle career in motocross in Brazil, Moreira moved to Spain in 2017 in order to continue his career. Rory Skinner (born 27 September 2001) is a British motorcycle racer from Perth, Scotland, competing in the 2024 British Superbike Championship with TAS Racing. He is best known for winning the 2020 British Supersport Championship. Skinner had a broken 2024 season, suffering crash injuries in May and again in July. Skinner was the inaugural champion of the British Talent Cup, a motorcycle racing series for young riders. Stefan Bradl (born 29 November 1989) is a German professional motorcycle racer, best known for winning the Moto2 World Championship in . He then moved to MotoGP in 2012 with LCR Honda. Grand Prix motorcycle racing is the premier championship of motorcycle road racing, which has been divided into three classes: MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3. The 2022 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 74th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Fabio Quartararo came into the season as the defending World Champion.
