2022 Bislett Games
The 2022 Bislett Games was the 57th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting in Oslo, Norway. Held on 16 June at Bislett Stadium, it was the sixth leg of the 2022 Diamond League – the highest level international track and field circuit. The meeting was highlighted by the Dream Mile, where Jakob Ingebrigtsen ran the world's fastest mile in 21 years. Although the time of 3:46.46 was a national record, it was one tenth of a second short of breaking the European record of 3:46.32. Results Athletes competing in the Diamond League disciplines earned extra compensation and points which went towards qualifying for the Diamond League finals in Zürich. Oslo
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of 1,064,235 in 2022, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age, the area was part of Viken. Benjamin Azamati-Kwaku (born 14 January 1998) is a Ghanaian sprinter, who currently competes for ASICS Global. He made history by breaking a 22-year national record held by Leo Myles Mills on 26 March 2021 in Texas by clocking 9.97 seconds to qualify him for the Tokyo Summer Olympics. Oliver 'Olli' Hoare (born 29 January 1997) is an Australian middle-distance runner who primarily competes in the 1500 metres. He notably won the 1500 m at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in a Games record of 3:30.12. Career Early years Hoare's grandfather, World War II veteran Sergeant Fred Hoare, was a member of his local athletics club, and the reason for his father's and Hoare's own love of athletics. Håvard Bentdal Ingvaldsen (born 21 September 2002) is a Norwegian track and field athlete. He has won multiple national championship titles over 200 metres and 400 metres. In 2023, he became the European U23 champion over 400m and took the Norwegian national 400m record from Karsten Warholm. Luguelín Miguel Santos Aquino (born 12 November 1992) is a Dominican sprinter, who specialises in the 400 m. He was the silver medallist in the event at the 2012 London Olympics at the age of nineteen. His personal best is 44.11 seconds.
