Paro FC
Paro FC is a Bhutanese professional football club based in Paro that competes in the Bhutan Premier League, the top level of Bhutanese football. History Paro FC competed in the 2018 Bhutan National League after beating Paro United in the qualifying tournament, and finished the season as the runners-up behind Transport United. In 2019, Paro FC reached the semi-finals of the first-ever Samtse Championship. During the same season, Paro FC won its first national league title by winning the 2019 edition of the Bhutan Premier League. Paro, Bhutan
Paro ( dz, སྤ་རོ་) is a town and seat of Paro District, in the Paro Valley of Bhutan. It is a historic town with many sacred sites and historical buildings scattered throughout the area. It is also home to Paro International Airport, Bhutan's sole international airport. Paro International Airport is served by Drukair. Architecture The main street has many examples of traditionally decorated buildings. The Dungtse Lhakhang (a 15th-century temple) and the Ugyen Perli Palace are near the new bridge. Members of royal family lodge in the palace when in Paro. Nearby is the old bridge and the Rinpung Dzong. Notable hotels include the Olathang Hotel built in an ornate style. Dawa Kuenjung Tshering
Dawa "Kuenjung" Tshering (born 10 October 2001), also known as Dawa Tshering Jr, is a Bhutanese professional footballer who plays for Indian club Delhi FC. Club career In July 2020, Thimphu City FC signed Tshering, from Transport United FC with a transfer fee of Nu 250, 000. This was the highest transfer fee paid in Bhutanese football, according to the clubs president, Hishey Tshering. He was also the Most Valuable Player twice in the previous two seasons. During the 2021 Bhutan Premier League, Tshering converted a controversial penalty against Paro Rinpung FC, leading to the opponent players aggressively confronting the referee. Santa Kumar Limbu is a Bhutanese professional footballer who currently plays for Bhutan Premier League club Ugyen Academy FC and the Bhutan national team. Club career For the 2022 season Limbu played for Ugyen Academy FC of the Bhutan Premier League. Following the season, he received the Young Emerging Player Award from the Bhutan Football Federation. Chencho Gyeltshen (born 10 May 1996) is a Bhutanese professional footballer who plays as a forward for I-League club RoundGlass Punjab and captains the Bhutan national team. Gyeltshen is the all-time leading international goalscorer for Bhutan. Tsenda Dorji (born 12 February 1995) is a Bhutanese professional footballer who last played as a striker for Transport United FC in the Bhutan Premier League. He also plays for the Bhutan national team. Club career In 2017, Tsenda joined Thimphu FC after playing in various local tournaments. In the 2018 Chancellor's Cup, Tsenda represented Penchhas FC. Thimphu City FC is a Bhutanese professional football club based in Thimphu that competes in the Bhutan Premier League, the top level of football in Bhutan. Founded in 2012, they qualified for the inaugural Bhutan National League in the same year.
