2021–22 Men's FIH Pro League
The 2021–22 Men's FIH Pro League was the third edition of the Men's FIH Pro League, a field hockey championship for men's national teams. The tournament started on 16 October 2021 and finished on 26 June 2022. Format The home and away principle was kept but this principle was split over two consecutive seasons and worked according to the following example: *in previous season 2020–21, Team A hosted Team B twice within a couple of days. *in current season 2021–22, Team B hosted Team A twice within a couple of days. If one of the two matches played between two teams was cancelled, the winner of the other match would have received double points. Teams Originally, nine teams were scheduled to compete in a round-robin tournament, being played from October 2021 to June 2022. Harmanpreet Singh (born 6 January 1996) is an Indian field hockey player as well as the captain of the Indian national hockey team. He plays as a defender, is a penalty corner specialist, and is regarded as one of the best drag flickers in the world. He has scored the most number of international goals for India in modern day hockey. He led the team to clinch the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Thierry Brinkman (born 19 March 1995) is a Dutch field hockey player who plays as a forward or midfielder for Hoofdklasse club Den Bosch and captains the Dutch national team. He is the son of former Dutch international Jacques Brinkman and the brother of Tim Brinkman, a Dutch footballer. Wagener Stadium
Wagener Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands. It is currently used mostly for field hockey matches and hosted matches for the 1973 World Hockey Cup. The stadium holds 7,600 people. The complex has belonged to the Dutch Hockey Association (''""'') since 1980. Its location is the Amsterdamse Bos in Amstelveen. Florent Van Aubel (born 25 October 1991) is a Belgian professional field hockey player who plays as a forward for Dutch Hoofdklasse club Pinoké. Niklas Wellen (born 14 December 1994) is a German field hockey player who plays as a forward for Bundesliga club Crefelder HTC.
