The 2021–22 LEN Champions League was the 59th edition of LEN's premier competition for men's water polo clubs. Teams Schedule The schedule of the competition is as follows. Qualifying rounds Qualification round I The draw took place in Šibenik during the women's LEN European Junior Water Polo Championship. The top four ranked sides will advance from both groups. Group A *23–26 September 2021, Savona, Italy. Group B *22–26 September 2021, Podgorica, Montenegro. Qualification round II The top two ranked sides from each group advance. LEN Champions League
The European Aquatics Champions League is the top-tier European professional water polo club competition with teams from up to 18 countries. It is organized by the Ligue Européenne de Natation. The competition started in 1963 as European Cup. A change of name and format occurred in 1996, with the competition being renamed Champions League and the final four system being established as the format of choice, for the first time during the 1996–97 LEN Champions League. From 2003 to 2011 the competition was named LEN Euroleague (with the change of name being simply a re-branding) and from 2011 to 2024 was named the LEN Champions League. Orvosegyetem SC
Orvosegyetem Sport Club is a Hungarian professional water polo club from Budapest established in 1957 in the Semmelweis University. The club's peak was the 1970s. Orvosegyetem won six national championships in a row between 1969 and 1974, and in 1973 it won the European Cup, beating 4-times champion Partizan Belgrade in the final. In 1974 and 1975 also reached the European Cup's final, but lost to MGU Moscow and Partizan respectively. In 1976 it played its fourth European final, losing the Cup Winners' Cup to Mladost Zagreb.
