2021 Wigan Warriors Season
The 2021 season will be Wigan Warriors's 41st consecutive season playing in England's top division of rugby league. During the season, they will compete in the Super League XXVI and the 2021 Challenge Cup. Preseason friendlies On 4 March, Wigan announced a pre-season friendly against Salford Red Devils ahead of the delay start to the Super League. Super League Regular season The start of the 2021 Super League season, which ordinarily would have started in late January, was delayed to March due to the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic. On 11 February it was confirmed that match week one would commence on Friday 26 March, with Wigan Warriors facing newly promoted local rivals Leigh Centurions in the second fixture of the round. Super League XXVI
Super League XXVI, known as the 2021 Betfred Super League XXVI for sponsorship reasons, was the 26th season of the Super League and 127th season of rugby league in Great Britain. The 2021 season was originally scheduled to begin on 11 March 2021, however, on 14 January 2021, it was announced that all clubs had agreed to push the start date back by two weeks, to increase the chances of fans being able to attend matches. St Helens were the reigning champions going into Super League XXVI, after successfully retaining their title against Wigan Warriors, in the Grand Final. Super League XXVI also saw the return of the Magic Weekend, which took place at St James' Park in Newcastle, after it was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Leigh Sports Village is a multi-use sports, retail and housing development in Leigh, Greater Manchester, England. Bevan French (born 4 January 1996) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays primarily as a , but also as a or er for the Wigan Warriors in the Super League. French began his career playing for amateur club Tingha Tigers, playing first team rugby at age 15. In 2013, he signed for Parramatta Eels in the NRL making his first team debut the year after. Castleford Tigers
The Castleford Tigers are a professional rugby league club in Castleford, West Yorkshire, England. They play their home games at Wheldon Road (currently known as the Mend-A-Hose Jungle for sponsorship reasons) and compete in the Super League, the top flight of the British rugby league system. Totally Wicked Stadium
Totally Wicked Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in St Helens, Merseyside, St Helens, Merseyside, England. Known as Langtree Park until 2017, it has a capacity of over 18,000 and is the home ground of rugby league club St Helens R.F.C. and football club Liverpool F.C. Women. The stadium was granted planning permission in 2008 and construction started in 2010.
