2021 Trofeo Laigueglia
The 2021 Trofeo Laigueglia was a one-day road cycling race that took place on 2 March 2021 in and around Laigueglia, Liguria, on the northwestern coast of Italy. It was the 58th edition of the Trofeo Laigueglia and was rated as a 1.Pro event as part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 UCI ProSeries. The race covered and finished off with four laps of a finishing circuit that was long and featured two short and sharp climbs, the Colla Micheri and the Capo Mele. Teams Ten UCI WorldTeams, nine UCI ProTeans, and six UCI Continental teams made up the twenty-five teams that participated in the race. Every team entered seven riders each, except for and , which each entered six riders. 2021 UCI Europe Tour
The 2021 UCI Europe Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Europe Tour. The season began on 24 January 2021 with the Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premio Valencia and ended on 24 October 2021 with the Ronde van Drenthe. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points are awarded to the top finishers; the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Biniam Girmay Hailu (born 2 April 2000) is a professional Eritrean road cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . At the 2022 Giro d'Italia, he became the first Black African cyclist to win a Grand Tour stage after winning stage 10 in a reduced bunch sprint. 2021 Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne
The 2021 Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne was the 73rd edition of the Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne cycling classic. It was held on 28 February 2021 as a category 1.Pro race on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 UCI ProSeries. The race was long, starting and finishing in Kuurne, and featured several cobbled sections and climbs. The race formed the latter half of the opening weekend of the Belgian road cycling season with UCI WorldTour race Omloop Het Nieuwsblad held the previous day. Gianni Moscon (born 20 April 1994) is an Italian professional cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in the road race. Early life and career Moscon grew up in the apple farms north of Trento in Trentino in the north of Italy. This led to him being given the nickname "Il Trattore", which translates to "The Tractor". Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by a virus, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
