2021 Tour Du Rwanda
The 2021 Tour du Rwanda was a road bicycle racing, road cycling stage race that took place in Rwanda between 2 and 9 May 2021. The race was rated as a category UCI race classifications, 2.1 event on the 2021 UCI Africa Tour calendar, and was the 24th edition of the Tour du Rwanda. The race was originally scheduled to be held from 21 to 28 February, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Rwanda, COVID-19 pandemic, it had to be postponed and rescheduled to early May. Teams One UCI WorldTeam, three UCI Professional Continental, UCI ProTeams, eight UCI Continental teams, and four national teams made up the 16 teams that participated in the race. Each team competed with five riders, for a total of 75 riders, of which 61 finished. 2021 UCI Africa Tour
The 2021 UCI Africa Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Africa Tour. The season began on 21 February 2021 with the Tour du Rwanda and ended on 10 October 2021 with the final stage of the Grand Prix Chantal Biya. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Africa Tour cycling jersey. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers: the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Huye (district)
Huye is one of the eight districts (''Akarere'') that make up Rwanda's Southern Province. It has a total surface area of 581.6 square Kilometers. It has thirteen sectors and 77 cells with a total of 508 umudugudus (villages) in total. The district has a population of 381,900, with an average of 660 inhabitants per square kilometer. The largest city in the province is Butare. Geography and education Huye borders with Nyanza district in the North, Gisagara in the east and south, Nyaruguru in the south west and Nyamagabe in the north west. The hilly landscape protrudes from east to west but develops into a steep hilly and mountainous area as one moves towards the west and north west. Rwamagana
Rwamagana is a city and capital of both the Rwamagana District and the Eastern Province in Rwanda Description Rwamagana lies approximately from Kigali, on the newly renovated road leading east towards Tanzania. There was formerly a large amount of traffic running through the centre, particularly freight to and from Tanzania, but with the recent creation of a bypass, the centre of the city is now quieter. The city lies mainly along two roads, the main east–west route, and a spur leading off to the south. The main market and the Banque de Kigali are on this spur, while the city's two petrol stations, taxi-bus parks and post office are on the east–west road. There is a large church at the western end of the city, adjacent to the main secondary school, and a new conference centre at the eastern end of the bypass. Kigali Arena
BK Arena (formerly known as Kigali Arena) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Kigali, Rwanda, used mostly for basketball and volleyball matches. Built and finished in 2019, it hosts sporting events and concerts. It is the biggest indoor arena in East Africa and is located next to the Amahoro Stadium. The arena is regularly used for games in the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL). It was constructed by SUMMA, a Turkish international contractor. In 2021 Kigali Arena signed a contract with Rwandan singer Bruce Melodie for him to be its brand ambassador for the next three years with a shared objective to position the venue as a regional entertainment hub. Kigali () is the Capital (political), capital and largest city of Rwanda.
