2021 Super GT Series
The 2021 Autobacs Super GT Series was a motor racing championship based in Japan for grand touring cars. The series is sanctioned by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) and run by the GT Association (GTA). It was the twenty-ninth season of the Japan Automobile Federation Super GT Championship which includes the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC) era, and the seventeenth season under the Super GT name. It was the thirty-ninth overall season of a national JAF sportscar championship, dating back to the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship. TGR Team au TOM'S and drivers Yuhi Sekiguchi and Sho Tsuboi won the GT500 class championships, driving the Toyota Supra, after overcoming a 16-point deficit in the final round of the season. Yuhi Sekiguchi
is a Japanese Auto racing, racing driver. He currently competes in the GT500 class of the Super GT, Super GT Series for Toyota Gazoo Racing, TGR SARD, Team SARD. Sekiguchi won the 2011 Japanese Formula 3 Championship and the 2021 Super GT Series, 2021 Super GT GT500 class championship. Career Sekiguchi made his single-seater debut in 2004 after winning a scholarship from Toyota to compete in the Japanese Formula Toyota series. He also raced part time in the Formula Renault AsiaCup, Asian Formula Renault Challenge. In 2006, Sekiguchi won the Formula Toyota championship in his third season, and also won the inaugural Formula Challenge Japan championship. All-Japan Formula Three Sekiguchi moved up to the All-Japan Formula Three Championship in 2007, driving for the Now Motor Sports team owned by Naohiro Fujita. Naoki Yamamoto (racing Driver)
is a Japanese racing driver for Honda Racing Corporation, currently driving in Super GT with Team Kunimitsu. He is a three-time champion in Super Formula Championship, Super Formula and a two-time champion in the GT500 class of Super GT. Yamamoto is also the only driver to have won both the Super Formula and GT500 championships in the same season multiple times, a feat which he accomplished in 2018 and 2020. Fuji Speedway
is a motorsport race track standing in the foothills of Mount Fuji, in Oyama, Shizuoka, Oyama, Suntō District, Shizuoka, Suntō District, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It was built in the early 1960s.
