2021 Street Skateboarding World Championships
The 2021 Street Skateboarding World Championships took place in Rome, Italy, from 30 May to 6 June 2021. The event was organised by Sport e Salute and World Skate. The event contributed towards qualification for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, where skateboarding made its debut as an Olympic sport Olympic sports are contested in the Summer Olympic Games and Winter Olympic Games. Foro Italico
Foro Italico is a sports complex in Rome, Italy, on the slopes of Monte Mario. It was built between 1928 and 1938 as the Foro Mussolini (literally Mussolini's Forum) under the design of Enrico Del Debbio and, later, Luigi Moretti. Yuto Horigome (skateboarder)
is a Japanese professional skateboarder. He won the gold medal in the inaugural Olympic men's street event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, becoming the first person ever to win a gold medal in skateboarding at the Olympics. Personal life Horigome was born in Tokyo, Japan, and has two younger brothers. He began skating at Tokyo's Amazing Square Murasaki Skatepark when he was seven years old. He learned to skate from his father, who is a former Vert skateboarder. At age 14, Horigome began traveling to the United States for skating trips and eventually moved to Los Angeles, California, where he currently resides. Jhulia Rayssa Mendes Leal (born 4 January 2008) is a Brazilian skateboarder who won a silver medal in women’s street skateboarding at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Skateboarding career Leal was born and lives in Imperatriz, the second largest city in Maranhão, and alternates school studies with training. She started training the sport at the age of six, after getting her first skateboard on her 6th birthday, a gift from a family friend. is a regular-footed Japanese professional street skateboarder. Nishimura represented Japan in the women's street event at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Nyjah Imani Huston (born November 30, 1994) is an American professional skateboarder. With numerous sponsorships and competition prize winnings, Huston is one of the highest paid skateboarders in the world. Huston won gold medals at the SLS Super Crown World Championship in 2014, 2017 to 2019, and has won 12 gold medals at the X Games since 2011. Early life Huston was born in Davis, California.
