2021 Sardegna Open
The 2021 Sardegna Open was a tennis tournament on the 2021 ATP Tour. It was played on outdoor clay courts in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. It was organised with a single-year licence in 2021, and was held at Tennis Club Cagliari from April 5 to 11, 2021. The Italian 250 debuted October 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic to increase earning opportunities for players. It returned to Sardegna in 2021 and opened the red-clay season in Europe. ATP Tour 250
The ATP 250 tournaments (previously known as the ''ATP World Tour 250'' tournaments, ''ATP International Series'', and ''ATP World Series'') are the lowest tier of annual men's tennis tournaments on the main ATP Tour, after the four Grand Slam tournaments, ATP Finals, ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and ATP 500 tournaments. As of 2020, the series includes 39 tournaments, with 250 ranking points awarded to each singles champion—which accounts for the name of the series. Jan-Lennard Struff (; born 25 April 1990) is a German professional tennis player. He reached his career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 29 in August 2020. In doubles, he achieved a career-high ranking of world No. 21 in October 2018. He has reached one ATP singles final and won 3 ATP doubles titles. João Sousa
João Pedro Coelho Marinho de Sousa (born 30 March 1989), known as João Sousa (), is a Portuguese professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 28 on 16 May 2016 and a doubles ranking of No. 26 on 13 May 2019. Continuously ranked in the world's top-100 between July 2013 and March 2021, and with four ATP Tour singles titles, Sousa is often regarded as the best Portuguese tennis player of all time. Jérémy Chardy (; born 12 February 1987) is a French inactive professional tennis player. He has won one ATP Tour singles title, in Stuttgart in 2009. Sumit Nagal
Sumit Nagal (born 16 August 1997) is an Indian professional tennis player. He won the 2015 Wimbledon boys' doubles title with his Vietnamese partner Lý Hoàng Nam, thus becoming the sixth Indian player to win a junior Grand Slam title. He is currently the highest- ranked Indian singles tennis player and since 2018, he has been a regular member of India's national Davis Cup squad. Jozef Kovalík (; born 4 November 1992) is a Slovak tennis player playing mostly on the ATP Challenger Tour. Liam Broady
Liam Tarquin Broady (born 4 January 1994) is a tennis player and current British No. 6. A wild card (also wildcard or wild-card and also known as an at-large berth or at-large bid) is a tournament or playoff berth awarded to an individual or team that fails to qualify in the normal way; for example, by having a high ranking or winning a qualifying stage.
