2021 Orange County SC Season
The 2021 Orange County SC season was the club's eleventh season of existence, and their eleventh consecutive season in the United Soccer League Championship, the second tier of American soccer. Due to the continuing COVID-19 worldwide pandemic, the 2021 USL Championship season divided the league into two conferences with two divisions each. Orange County played in the Pacific Division which included teams LA Galaxy II, Las Vegas Lights FC, Oakland Roots, Phoenix Rising FC, Sacramento Republic FC, San Diego Loyal, and Tacoma Defiance. Pacific Division teams played each division member four times for 28 games, with four out-of-division games to fill out the 32 game schedule. Orange County SC's out-of-conference opponents were: Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, Rio Grande Valley FC, Charleston Battery, and El Paso Locomotive FC. Orange County Soccer Club is an American soccer team based in the Orange County, California city of Irvine. Founded in 2010 as the Los Angeles Blues, the team currently plays in the second tier USL Championship. The team plays its home games at Championship Soccer Stadium, located inside Great Park in Irvine. Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC is a professional soccer team based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Founded in 2014, the team is a member of the USL Championship, the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. The franchise is owned by Martin E Ragain and Dean Weidner. Mikko Kuningas (born 30 July 1997) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ykkösliiga club KäPa. Club career Kuningas has played for PEPO Lappeenranta, Lahti, Lahti Akatemia and FC Inter Turku. Kuningas started his football career in Luumäen Pojat where he played his first junior years. Sebastián Ignacio Guenzatti Varela (born July 8, 1991) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays for Indy Eleven in the USL Championship. Youth career Guenzatti was born in Uruguay before moving to the United States at 12, where he grew up in the College Point section of Queens in New York City, and graduated from Francis Lewis High School in Fresh Meadows, where he started for the soccer team all four years. Al Lang Stadium
Al Lang Stadium is a 7,500-seat sports stadium along the waterfront of downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, United States which was used almost exclusively as a baseball park for over 60 years. Since 2011, it has been the home pitch of the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL Championship soccer league. Al Lang Stadium was built in 1947 at the site of an older facility known as St. Petersburg Athletic Park. The Tampa Bay Rowdies are an American professional soccer team based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The club was founded in 2008 and first took the pitch in 2010. Sean Ugochukwu "Ugo" Okoli (born February 3, 1993) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays for Orange County SC in the USL Championship. Justin Dhillon (born June 6, 1995) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays for USL Championship club Colorado Springs Switchbacks.
