2021 Ole Miss Rebels Softball Team
The 2021 Ole Miss Rebels softball team represents the University of Mississippi in the 2021 NCAA Division I softball season. The Rebels play their home games at the Ole Miss Softball Complex. Previous season The Rebels finished the 2020 season 12–13 overall, and 0–3 in the SEC. The season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the season, interim head coach Ruben Felix was not retained. He took over for former head coach, Mike Smith, who resigned in December 2019. Minnesota head coach Jamie Trachsel was hired on April 24, 2020. Jamie Trachsel is an American softball coach who is the head coach of the Ole Miss Rebels softball team. Coaching career North Dakota State Iowa State On, June 9, 2016, Jamie Trachsel was announced as the head coach of the Iowa State softball program. In her only season with the Cyclones, she led them to a 5th place Big 12 finish, their best finish in the Big 12 since 1994. They completed the program's first series win over Texas. In her only season the team finished 23–35 overall and 6–12 in the Big 12. Minnesota On June 24, 2017, Jamie Trachsel was announced as the new head coach of the Minnesota softball program, replacing Jessica Allister who left to be the head coach of her alma mater, Stanford. Tiger Park is a softball stadium located on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It serves as the home field of the LSU Lady Tigers softball team and is located on Skip Bertman Drive across from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. The official capacity of the stadium is 2,671 people. Tiger Parks record attendance of 3,242 came on March 25, 2016, in a game versus the University of Florida.
