2021 GP De Plouay
The twentieth edition of the 2021 GP de Plouay is part of the 2021 UCI Women's World Tour and will be held on 30 August 2021, in Plouay, France. Teams Riders from 15 teams will start the race. 2021 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2021 UCI Women's World Tour was a competition that included eighteen road cycling events throughout the 2021 women's cycling season. It was the sixth edition of the UCI Women's World Tour, the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition began with Strade Bianche on 6 March, and finished with the Ronde van Drenthe on 23 October. Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten () became the first rider to win the individual classification for a second time, taking a season-high four overall victories during the season, finishing the season with a tally of 3177 points. Second place went to another Dutch rider, as Demi Vollering () finished on 2563 points, having taken three overall victories in 2021, while third place on 2509 points, was two-time winner Elisa Longo Borghini of Italy, riding for . 2020 GP De Plouay
The 2020 GP de Plouay featured as the third round of the 2020 UCI Women's World Tour and was held on 25 August 2020, in Plouay, France. The race was held on the same day as the men's Bretagne Classic, during the 2020 European Road Championships which were also held in Plouay. Teams 176 riders from 18 teams started the race. Each team has a maximum of six riders. 76 riders finished the race within the time limit. Plouay
Plouay (; ) is a commune in the Morbihan department in Brittany in north-western France. Plouay hosts the GP Ouest-France and the GP de Plouay, annual cycling races (a men's and women's race, respectively). It was also the location of the UCI Road World Championships in 2000. The Tour de France has visited this town three times: in 1998, 2002 and in 2006. Population Inhabitants of Plouay or Ploue are called ''Plouaysiens'' in French and ''Plouead'' (''Ploueiz''), ''Ploueadez'' (-''ed'') in Breton. Geography Plouay is located in the west of Morbihan, northwest of Hennebont and north of Lorient. Historically, it belongs to Vannetais. The river Scorff forms the commune's western border. Elisa Longo Borghini
Elisa Longo Borghini (born 10 December 1991) is an Italian professional road cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . During her career, Longo Borghini has won two bronze medals in the road race at the Summer Olympic Games, taking third-place finishes in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She has also won two bronze medals in the equivalent event at the UCI Road World Championships, doing so in 2012 and 2020. Kristen Faulkner (born December 18, 1992) is an American professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team . Her first year cycling professionally, she was also working full-time as an investment associate at Threshold Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm in Silicon Valley. Elizabeth Mary Deignan (née Armitstead; born 18 December 1988) is an English professional world champion track and road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam .
