2021 Florida Gators Baseball Team
The 2021 Florida Gators baseball team represented the University of Florida in the sport of baseball during the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season, 2021 college baseball season. Florida competed in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Home games were played at Florida Ballpark on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus, in the first season at the ballpark. The team was coached by Kevin O'Sullivan (baseball), Kevin O'Sullivan in his fourteenth season as Florida's head coach. Kevin O'Sullivan (baseball)
Kevin Michael O'Sullivan (born December 27, 1968) is an American college baseball coach and former player. O'Sullivan is the current head coach of the Florida Gators baseball team of the University of Florida. O'Sullivan is best known for leading the Gators to the program's first College World Series national championship win in 2017. O'Sullivan also led the program to three consecutive appearances in the College World Series from 2010 to 2012 and four consecutive appearances from 2015 to 2018. He became the winningest coach in program history in 2021, surpassing Dave Fuller's 1975 record of 557 wins. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. Dusty Rhodes Field at Harmon Stadium, generally known as Harmon Stadium, is the baseball stadium at the University of North Florida (UNF), and the home field of the North Florida Ospreys baseball team. Tommy Mace
Frank Thomas Mace III (born November 11, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Cleveland Guardians organization. He played college baseball for the Florida Gators. Amateur career Mace attended Sunlake High School in Land o' Lakes, Florida. As a junior in 2016, he pitched to a 1.14 ERA with 64 strikeouts over 49 innings. In 2017, his senior year, he went 8–2 with a 1.29 ERA and ninety strikeouts. He was named the North Suncoast Pitcher of the Year by the ''Tampa Bay Times''. He was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 12th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and instead enrolled at the University of Florida.
