The 2021 Alpine Elf Europa Cup was the fourth season of the Alpine Elf Europa Cup, the one-make sports car racing series organized by Alpine for Alpine A110 Cup cars. Sports car racing is a form of motorsport road racing which utilises sports cars that have two seats and enclosed wheels. They may be purpose-built prototypes or grand tourers based on road-going models. Broadly speaking, sports car racing is one of the main types of circuit auto racing, alongside open-wheel single-seater racing (such as Formula One), touring car racing (such as the British Touring Car Championship, which is based on 'saloon cars' as opposed to the 'exotics' seen in sports cars) and stock car racing (such as NASCAR). The Circuit Paul Ricard () is a French motorsport race track built in 1969 at Le Castellet, Var, near Marseille, with finance from pastis magnate Paul Ricard. Ugo de Wilde (born 20 November 2002) is a Belgian racing driver. He currently races in the European Le Mans Series with Inter Europol Competition. Career Karting Born and raised in Brussels, De Wilde started his karting career in 2011. He competed mainly in European Karting Series, such as the domestic Belgian Kart Cup, where he finished second at the age of nine, and in the CIK-FIA European Championship in his last year of karting in 2016, where he competed against drivers such as Red Bull Academy member Dennis Hauger and Frenchman Théo Pourchaire, trumping the latter in the standings. Stéphane De Groodt (born 3 March 1966) is a Belgian comedian, humorist and former racing driver. Life and career Early life and education Stéphane De Groodt is the son of an engineer at Texaco and a housewife who takes care of handicapped children in foundations. Dyslexic, he has a chaotic scholarity, which already translates his wills to play comedy. He did not obtain any graduation and decided to become a comedian as well as a racing driver. His parents offered him a racing driver suit and a helmet. He then went through several small jobs, including barman, journalist, marketing assistant, editor and advertiser, while entering little by little the field of the competition. Daniel Clos Álvarez (born 23 October 1988) is a Spanish professional racecar driver who was, in 2012, the test driver for the now defunct HRT Formula One team. Bruce Jouanny (born 11 June 1978 in Paris, France) is a French racing driver. He started his career in his homeland of France, before moving on to international series. In 2000, he won his only career title to date – the Formula Palmer Audi Junior series. He progressed onwards to Formula Three series around the world, including the British Formula Three Championship. His best series standing in the British version was 4th in 2002. Małgorzata Agnieszka Łazarczyk (née Rdest, born 14 January 1993 in Żyrardów) is a Polish female racing driver and businesswoman. She currently competes in the Alpine Elf Europa Cup. Racing career Rdest entered car racing in 2012 when she, as reigning Polish Junior Karting Champion, was scouted by BMW Motorsport. They would enter her in the final round of the Formula BMW Talent Cup for rookie drivers at Oschersleben, where she would finish all three races in the top 10 and finish 10th in the standings despite only entering the one event. Lilou Wadoux-Ducellier (born 10 April 2001) is a French professional racing driver who currently races for Richard Mille AF Corse in the GTE Am class of the FIA World Endurance Championship. 2021 European Le Mans Series
The 2021 European Le Mans Series was the eighteenth season of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest's (ACO) European Le Mans Series. The six-event season began at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 18th April and finished at Algarve International Circuit on 24th October. The 2021 24H GT Series powered by Hankook was the seventh season of the 24H Series with drivers battling for championship points and titles and the twelfth season since Creventic, the organiser and promoter of the series, organised multiple races a year. Alpine (automobile)
The Société des Automobiles Alpine SAS, commonly known as Alpine (), is a French manufacturer of racing and sports cars established in 1955. The Alpine car marque was created in 1954. Jean Rédélé, the founder of Alpine, was originally a Dieppe garage proprietor who began to achieve success in motorsport with one of the few French cars that were produced just after the Second World War, the Renault 4CV. The company has been closely related to Renault through its history, and was bought by it in 1973. The Alpine competition department merged into Renault Sport in 1976 and the production of Alpine-badged models ceased in 1995.
