2021 5 Star Grand Prix
, often stylized as 5★Star GP 2021 was the tenth annual professional wrestling tournament under the Stardom 5Star Grand Prix Tournament branch promoted by the Japanese promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom. It took place between July 31 and September 25, 2021, with a limited attendance due in part to the COVID-19 pandemic at the time. Tournament history The Stardom 5 Star Grand Prix is a professional wrestling tournament held each summer by Stardom. Similar to Bushiroad-owned male counterpart New Japan Pro-Wrestling with the G1 Climax tournament, it is currently held as a round-robin tournament with wrestlers split into two pools. The winner of each pool will compete in the final to decide the winner. As is the case with G1 Climax, a win is two points and a draw is one point for each wrestler. The is a women's professional wrestling championship owned by the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion. The title was introduced on February 18, 2018, and the inaugural champion was crowned on March 28, when Starlight Kid defeated Shiki Shibusawa in the finals of a five-woman single-elimination tournament. Initially, in order for a wrestler to challenge for the title, they must have been under twenty years old or have less than two years of experience in professional wrestling. But on December 20, 2020, the experience level requirement for the title was changed from two years to less than three years of wrestling experience, however wrestlers under 20 may still challenge regardless of years' experience. is a sports arena in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan, which has hosted boxing, professional wrestling, kickboxing, mixed martial arts and Lethwei matches.
