2020–21 NWFL Premiership
The 2020–21 NWFL Premiership was the 31st season of Nigeria women's top-flight women's association football, association football league and the first since its renaming. The season began December 9, 2020. This season saw 14 teams competing as the number of clubs were expanded from 12. Adamawa Queens, Ibom Angels and Heartland Queens failed to meet the deadline for club licensing and registration and where subsequently relegated to the NWFL Championship. They were replaced by Dream Stars Ladies F.C., Dream Stars Ladies and Osun Babes who were initially relegated from the 2019 season. 2019 Nigeria Women Premier League#Nigeria Women Pro-league Play-offs, Pro-league champions Olori Babes, were promoted and renamed Royal Queens F.C., Royal Queens, Pelican Stars F.C., Pelican Stars were also promoted from the Pro-league. Nigeria Women Football League Premiership
The NWFL Premiership (formerly Nigeria Women Premier League) is the top-level league for women's association football in Nigeria. It is the women's equivalent of the Nigerian Professional Football League, Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for male players. The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) organizes the Nigeria Women Premier League and the Nigeria Women Pro-league. In November 2017, Aisha Falode was elected chairperson of the league board, and was officially designated in January 2017. Confluence Stadium
Confluence Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Lokoja, Kogi State with a 25,000 seating capacity. It is the home ground of Kogi United and Confluence Queens in the Nigeria National League and Nigeria Women Premier League respectively. It was used as a temporary venue for the home games of Niger Tornadoes during the 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League. Samson Siasia Sports Stadium is a multi-use stadium located in the Yenagoa metropolis, Nigeria. 2014 Nigeria Women Premier League
The 2014 Nigeria Women Premier League began on 1 March 2014 and ended on 26 November 2014. Nasarawa Amazons were the defending champions. This will be the first time in recent times that the winner will be decided straightaway without a mini super tournament at the end of the season.
