2020–21 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge
The 2020–21 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge was a domestic one-day cricket tournament that was played in South Africa in February and March 2021. Free State (cricket team), Free State and Northern Cape (cricket team), Northern Cape were the defending champions, after the title was shared due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first matches were scheduled to start on 10 January 2021, however the start of the season was delayed until February due to the pandemic. Initially the tournament was to be played between the fifteen South African provincial teams, split into two groups. However, after the tournament restarted in February 2021, Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed that the South Africa national under-19 cricket team, South Africa under-19 cricket team would also be included in the competition. Cricket South Africa
Cricket South Africa aka CSA is the governing body for both professional and amateur cricket in South Africa. In 1991, the separate South African Cricket Union and the South African Cricket Board merged to form the United Cricket Board of South Africa, ending racial separation governance in South African cricket. Northerns (formerly North Eastern Transvaal and Northern Transvaal) has played first-class cricket in South Africa since December 1937. Its territory is the area north of Johannesburg, including Pretoria. Jason Niemand (born 30 November 1998) is a South African cricketer. He made his List A cricket, List A debut for Border cricket team, Border in the 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 12 March 2017. In December 2017, he was named in South Africa's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his first-class cricket, first-class debut for Border in the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 15 February 2018. Boland Park is a multi-purpose stadium in Paarl, South Africa. It is currently used mostly for cricket matches and hosted three matches during the 2003 Cricket World Cup. North West (formerly Western Transvaal) plays first-class cricket in South Africa. North West Dragons was called Western Transvaal in 1989–90 when it began playing List A cricket in the Nissan Shield, and in 1991–92 when it began playing in the second tier of the South African first-class cricket competition.
