Armenian First League
The Armenian First League () is currently the second level association football, football competition in Armenia after the Armenian Premier League. The competition exists mostly out of reserve teams of several Premier League clubs; however, other teams also participate. Yerevan Football Academy
Officially, the Technical Center-Academy of the Football Federation of Armenia (), commonly known as the Yerevan Football Academy or Avan Football Academy, is a modern football training school located in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. The purpose of the centre is to be the base for all coaching and development work undertaken by the Football Federation of Armenia, and the training and preparation ground for all of the Armenia national football teams. Overview The construction of the academy was launched in late 2007 by the Football Federation of Armenia. On 1 September 2010, the complex was officially opened by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, the UEFA President Michel Platini and the FFA President Ruben Hayrapetyan. At its inauguration, the academy was home to five regular football training pitches, four tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the indoor sports arena and the hotel complex. Narek Grigoryan (; born 17 June 2001) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Liga I club Farul Constanța and the Armenia national team. Club career On 1 March 2022, he went on loan until the end of the 2022-2023 season to Jagiellonia Białystok. Urartu Training Centre
Urartu Training Centre, is the training ground and academy base of the Armenian football club Urartu. It houses the club's main stadium, 3 additional full-size training pitches, mini football pitches as well as an indoor facility. The current technical director of the academy is the former Armenian footballer Rafael Nazaryan. History Urartu Training Centre was officially opened on 23 May 2003 on the grounds of the former Malatia Football School named after Eduard Grigoryan, located in the Malatia-Sebastia District of the capital Yerevan. The opening ceremony was attended by then-presidents of FIFA Sepp Blatter, then-president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, and then-president of the Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan. Gyumri City Stadium
Gyumri City Stadium () is an all-seater football stadium in Gyumri, Armenia. It is currently the home venue of the Armenian Premier League club FC Shirak of Gyumri. The current capacity of the stadium is 4,000 seats. History The stadium was built and opened in 1924 to become the first stadium in the modern history of Armenia. When Shirak was founded in 1958, the stadium became the regular home ground of the team for the Soviet First League competition. Starting from 1991, the stadium witnessed many glorious moments of FC Shirak in the Armenian Premier League and the Armenian Independence Cup. The stadium hosted the 2011–12 Armenian Cup final match when Shirak defeated Impulse to win the title for the first time in their history. Gyumri
Gyumri (, ) is an urban municipal community and the List of cities and towns in Armenia, second-largest city in Armenia, serving as the administrative center of Shirak Province in the northwestern part of the country. By the end of the 19th century, when the city was known as Alexandropol, it became the largest city of Russian-ruled Eastern Armenia with a population above that of Yerevan. The city became renowned as a cultural hub, while also carrying significance as a major center of Russian troops during Russo-Turkish wars of the 19th century. Football Club Shirak (), commonly known as Shirak, is an Armenia, Armenian professional sports club based in Gyumri. Shirak is known for its professional association football, football team which is one of the oldest football clubs in Armenia, having been created in 1958. The club is the only team that participated in all seasons of the Armenian Premier League since its creation in 1992 in Armenian football, 1992 until 2020–21 Armenian Premier League, 2021. Sevan, Armenia
Sevan ( ) is a town as well as one of the most popular resorts in Armenia, located in the Sevan Municipality of the Gegharkunik Province on the northwestern shores of Lake Sevan. The town is built at a height of more than above sea level, northeast of the capital Yerevan, and north of the provincial centre Gavar. Sevan is surrounded by the Sevan National Park, a natural protected area extending from the northeastern parts of the town to the southwest, while Lake Sevan forms the natural border of the city to the east.
