2020 Winter Cup
The 2020 Winter Cup was an artistic gymnastics competition held at the Westgate Las Vegas in Las Vegas from February 20 to February 22, 2020. Competition The competition featured both junior and senior competitive divisions. The finals session featured the top 28 senior athletes based on the 10-point system and the top 14 juniors from the Elite Team Cup. Junior athletes advanced to the finals according to the all-around ranking from the first day of competition. All-around ranking and individual event champions were determined via a combined two-day score. Winter Cup
The Winter Cup is an annual winter gymnastics meet for elite artistic gymnasts of the United States. History The first edition of the Winter Cup was held in 1997 and was initially a men's artistic gymnastics competition. Women competed at the event for the first time in 2021. The competition had a combined senior and junior field until 2018. The United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Centers (OPTCs) are two campuses created by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) as training facilities for its Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Brandon Robert Briones (born April 29, 2001) is an American artistic gymnast. He is the 2018 Youth Olympic vault champion and was a reserve athlete for the 2020 Olympic men's gymnastics team. Personal life Briones was born in Park Ridge, Illinois to Laurie and Deo Briones; he grew up in Gilbert, Arizona. Gymnastics career Junior 2017 Briones competed at the RD761 International Junior Team Cup where he helped the USA place third as a team.
