2020 Viking FK Season
The 2020 season was Viking's 2nd consecutive year in Eliteserien, and their 70th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. The club participated in the Eliteserien and the UEFA Europa League. The Norwegian Cup was cancelled. Viking FK
Viking Fotballklubb, commonly known as Viking or Viking Stavanger internationally, is a Norwegian football club from the city of Stavanger. The club was founded in 1899. It is one of the most successful clubs in Norwegian football, having won 8 Norwegian top division titles, most recently in 1991, and 6 domestic Norwegian Cup titles, most recently in 2019. The club has played more top-flight league games than any other club in Norway. It has played in the top division since the league was established, except for the years 1966–67, 1987–88 and 2018. Zymer Bytyqi (born 11 September 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Konyaspor. He previously played for Sandnes Ulf and Red Bull Salzburg, and became the youngest player that has ever played in the Norwegian top league when he made his first-team debut in 2012 (the record has since been broken by Martin Ødegaard). Arild Østbø
Arild Østbø (born 19 April 1991) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Viking. Career Østbø was born in Stavanger and joined the senior team of Viking FK in 2008. He formerly played for Buøy IL. He made his Viking debut in the 2008 Norwegian Football Cup, but his Tippeligaen debut came in 2010. Sebastian Søraas Sebulonsen (born 27 January 2000) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Danish Superliga club Brøndby IF. Career Viking On 12 December 2019, Sebulonsen signed a two-year contract with Eliteserien club Viking. On 21 June 2020, he made his league debut for the club in a 3–0 loss against Brann. Even Østensen
Even Østensen (born 2 June 1993) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a forward for Staal Jørpeland. Career On 2 August 2018, Østensen signed a six month contract with Viking. He signed a contract extension after the 2018 season. After the 2020 season, his contract expired and he left the club. In January 2021, Østensen announced his retirement from football, however one month later he returned to his former club Staal Jørpeland. Johnny Furdal (born 4 May 1986) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Furdal has spent most of his career playing for Nest-Sotra. He played for the club for 11 years. Nest-Sotra retired his shirt number, 15, when he left the club in 2018. On 26 July 2018, Furdal signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Viking FK. Michael Thomas Tallaksen Crowe (born 13 November 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Birkenes IL. Club career Crowe began his youth career with Norwegian club IK Start. Yann-Erik Randa Bahezre de Lanlay (born 14 May 1992) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a winger for Viking in Eliteserien. Club career Early years De Lanlay was born in Norway to a French father and Norwegian mother, and is therefore eligible to play for both countries.
