2020 Strømsgodset Toppfotball Season
The 2020 season was Strømsgodset's fourteenth season back in Eliteserien since their promotion in the 2006 season. Season events Prior to the start of the season Tobias Gulliksen and Sondre Hanssen were promoted from the youth team. On 12 June, the Norwegian Football Federation announced that a maximum of 200 home fans would be allowed to attend the upcoming seasons matches. On 10 September, the Norwegian Football Federation cancelled the 2020 Norwegian Cup due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Norway. On 30 September, the Minister of Culture and Gender Equality, Abid Raja, announced that clubs would be able to have crowds of 600 at games from 12 October. On 28 November, Strømsgodset's match against Odd on 2 December was postponed due to a positive COVID-19 case within the Odd squad and the whole squad having to quarantine. Strømsgodset Toppfotball
Strømsgodset Toppfotball is a Norwegian professional association football, football club based in Gulskogen, Drammen, competing in the Eliteserien (football), Eliteserien. It is part of the multi-sports club Strømsgodset IF, founded on February 10, 1907. The football team rose to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s, led by young striker Steinar Pettersen and his teammates, known as the "Rødgata Boys" (named after their street in Drammen). They climbed from the fourth tier to the top flight in a few years, winning the Eliteserien, league title in 1970 and the Norwegian Football Cup, Norwegian Cup in 1969, 1970, and 1973. The following decades were challenging, with the club even dropping to the third tier in 1986. This setback marked a turning point, and they returned to the top flight in 1989. Kristoffer Tokstad (born 5 July 1991) is a Norwegian professional footballer who currently plays for Norwegian First Division club Mjøndalen. Moses Dramwi Mawa (born 4 August 1996) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays for HamKam. Career He played youth football for Oppsal and Holmlia before starting his senior career in Lyn. Marcus Mølvadgaard (born 3 August 1999) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serie D club Locri. Herman Sørby Stengel (born 26 August 1995) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Eliteserien side Strømsgodset. He has previously played for Stabæk and Vålerenga, and has represented his country at youth level.
