2020 Penang FA Season
The 2020 season was Penangs 94th competitive season, 3rd consecutive season in the second tier of Malaysian football since relegated in 2017, and 99th year in existence as a football club. The season covers the period from 1 December 2019 to 30 November 2020. After spending the season mostly at the top of the league table, Penang were promoted to the Super League on 20 September. Two weeks later, Penang won the Malaysia Premier League for the first time in the club's history after Kuala Lumpur failed to get three points against Perak II. Penang Football Club (or simply known as Penang FC) is a Malaysian professional football club based in George Town, Penang, that competes in the Malaysia Super League. Unofficially founded in 1920, officially as Football Association of Penang on 21 October 1921, the club represents the state of Penang in football tournaments. The team has traditionally worn a blue home kit. They have a long-standing rivalry with Kedah; the two teams from the northern region of Malaysia being engaged in what has been collectively known as the ''"Northern Region Derby"''. Mohammad Raffi bin Nagoorgani (born 17 June 1994) is a Malaysian footballer who plays as a centre-back for the Malaysia Super League club Harini.
