2020 LPGA Tour
The 2020 LPGA Tour was the 71st edition of the LPGA Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The season began at the Four Season Golf Club in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, on January 16 and ended on December 20 at the Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Florida. The tournaments were sanctioned by the United States–based LPGA, Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). Schedule and results The number in parentheses after each winners' name is the player's total number of wins in official money individual events on the LPGA Tour, including that event. Tournament and winner names in bold indicate LPGA majors. Danielle Kang
Danielle Grace Kang (born October 20, 1992) is an American professional golfer currently playing on the LPGA Tour. As an amateur, she won the U.S. Women's Amateur twice, in 2010 and 2011. She won the 2017 KPMG Women's PGA Championship, an LPGA major. Early life, college and amateur career Kang was born on October 20, 1992, in San Francisco. She grew up in Southern California, and qualified for the U.S. Women's Open as a 14-year-old in 2007 U.S. Women's Open, 2007. Madelene Sagström
Madelene Maria Sagström (born 13 November 1992) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. She won the 2020 Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio and was runner-up at the 2021 Women's British Open. Early life At 9, Sagström began learning golf with her parents at Enköping Golf Club, 74 kilometres northwest of Stockholm, Sweden, and she has continued to represent the club. LPGA Drive On Championship
The LPGA Drive On Championship is a series of women's professional golf tournaments on the LPGA Tour created after several tournaments were cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Each tournament uses the tour's "Drive On" slogan to support the resilience of the tour. Ohio The Ohio tournament was held in July 2020 as the LPGA Tour's first tournament since the tour was halted in February 2020. The Ohio tournament was hosted at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. The tournament did not have spectators nor a pro-am, and it featured a field of 144 players. Although lacking a title sponsor, the players competed for a $1 million purse, primarily funded by sponsors of cancelled tournaments. Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational
The Dow Championship is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour that is played in Michigan. A new event in 2019, it is held at Midland Country Club in Midland, Michigan. It is a team event, similar to the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on the PGA Tour, with alternate shot ( foursome) in the first and third rounds and better ball ( fourball) for the second and fourth rounds. Pure Silk Championship
The Pure Silk Championship was a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, played in Williamsburg, Virginia. The 72-hole tournament was held on the par-71 River Course at Kingsmill Resort, set at in 2013. Previously known as the "Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill," the tournament was founded in 2003 and played for seven seasons. Absent in 2010 and 2011, it returned for the 2012 season in early September, and switched to early May in 2013. The LPGA event succeeded the Michelob Championship at Kingsmill, an annual PGA Tour event held for 22 years, from 1981 through 2002. The LPGA Mediheal Championship is a women's professional golf tournament in California on the LPGA Tour. The HSBC Women's World Championship is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour first held in 2008. It was played on the Garden Course of the Tanah Merah Country Club in eastern Singapore, adjacent to Singapore Changi Airport from 2008 to 2012. Honda LPGA Thailand
The Honda LPGA Thailand is a women's professional golf tournament in Thailand on the LPGA Tour. First played in 2006 at the Amata Spring Country Club, the tournament moved to the Siam Country Club, Pattaya in 2007, on its Old Course. It was the first LPGA Tour event held in Thailand and it increased the number of countries on the 2006 LPGA schedule to eight, including the United States.
