Supercoppa LBA 2020
The Supercoppa Italiana, also known as the Italian Super Cup, is an annual super cup tournament in Italian football. Founded in 1988 as a two-team competition, it has featured four teams since 2023 (the winners and runners-up of the previous season's Serie A and Coppa Italia). Before the format change, the match was exclusively contested between the winners of the Serie A and Coppa Italia titles. Under the new rules, if a team were to be occupying more than one of the four spots, that spot would then be filled by the third and/or fourth teams in the Serie A standings. It was originally the opening match of the new season, played at the home stadium of the previous season's Serie A champions. Vitrifrigo Arena, formerly known as Adriatic Arena and originally BPA Palas, is an indoor sports arena in Pesaro, Italy, home to the Victoria Libertas Pesaro professional basketball team of the Lega Basket Serie A. Its seating capacity is 10,300, rising to 13,000 for concerts, which makes it the fifth-biggest indoor arena in Italy. Construction Construction work began in 1993 and was completed in 1996. The venue was inaugurated with a recital by operatic tenor Luciano Pavarotti. Pesaro (; ) is a (municipality) in the Italy, Italian region of Marche, capital of the province of Pesaro and Urbino, on the Adriatic Sea. Palasport Roberta Serradimigni, commonly known as PalaSerradimigni, is a multi-use indoor sporting arena that is located in Sassari, Sardinia, Italy. The arena can be used to host basketball, volleyball, and handball games. The current seating capacity of the arena for basketball games is 5,000. History PalaSerradimigni was officially opened in 1981. The arena originally had a seating capacity of 2,500. In 1992, the seating capacity of the arena was increased to 4,532. In 2005, the arena's parquet flooring was updated and replaced. In 2006, the arena was named after Roberta Serradimigni, who died in a car accident at the age of 32, and who is considered to be one of the best basketball players from Sardinia.
